  • We hear it all the time, “Follow your passions.” So many of us have taken this advice, moving from job to job. That’s what the world says, when really God has you in a job right where He wants you. Luke 5 shows us how Jesus used Peter’s job as a fisherman to bring Him glory. We have to change our perspective, invite God in at work (He wants to go with us), and pursue greater passions - God’s passions. Then we’ll really be on our way to adulting! __

i wish every Christian starting their journey into "adulthood" or the workforce or whatever would stop and listen to this message. you drove home many of the things that have been placed on my heart recently.

Good sermon, this is so true for young people who want to do what God has for them to do but don't enjoy their work. I really need to work on my perspective as he said

I wonder if there’s a better youth ministry streaming on RUclips than the porch!

I am 17 years old and I have already graduated from high school, and just started college with a goal of becoming a doctor. Recently Ive been asking myself the same question: what am I passionate about? I like math, Ive got a math brain and I like math whenever I am able to find a pattern (meaning, I never had to take Geometry because I easily figured out the patterns in its concept, but I really do not like calculus). I kind of enjoy programming but dont want to spend the rest of my life behind a computer screen. And then I just started to think, maybe I can use my story (and I have a big one already despite my young age) to get people closer to God. And still, I want to have some sort of an occupation. Help me out J.P.

There are thouse who have a job that they Love doing and because of that they never work a day in there life. And that's because of Jesus's sacrifice.
