- After watching a rather interesting video about the same topic, but on the french perspective, i thought on doing one like that but on the Russian perspective. Hope you guys like it.
Depois de assistir a um vídeo bastante interessante sobre o mesmo assunto, mas na perspectiva francesa, pensei em fazer um assim, mas na perspectiva russa. Espero que gostem.

Glad to see our Napoleonic community is growing! ;)
All of you want to be a part of a community/herd. Napoleon didn't.
@@edeliteedelite1961 He had marshals, of which some of them were his closest friends; even relations. He also felt great sorrow at the death of his soldiers. The army was his community you dink.
Me: reads the title
Also me: No thank you. Id rather wait in HQ with General Kutusov.
Hahaha i also prefer being someones Aide de camp
@@joeeema3873 haha id be happy to be the cook in HQ so long as they dont send me with Bagration, the suicidal maniac! :)
@@Cba409 🤣
@@Cba409 hahahah
@@Cba409 prince bagration and ney is similar hahahahaha
As a note, the drums are meant to keep pace with your feet. So they'd be marching to tempo, not off-tempo as in this video.
Yep ur right, I kinda forgot about this detail while making the video, my bad lol
Okay i thought i was the only maniac to notice this. Anyway cool video!
Noooo after I read this comment I cant unhear it...
Im not hearing how they are off myself. He gives the command Shagom Marsch there is then the correct pause of a beat and then the fife and drums start. The drums for the attack after he yells follow me going into the charge is also correct .
What makes it off beat? The drum beat is easy to march to, the drum strikes when the left foot hits the ground almost like its saying "left...left...left...left right left...left...left...left....left right left..."
Also drums were used to issue commands too not just keep everyone in step.
Around 8.30am, the French forces made yet another massive attack on the flèches, the Russian left looked close to breaking, but the 3rd infantry division, led by Major General Konovnitsyn, arrived just in time to bolster Bagration's forces. Two companies of the famed Pavlovsk Grenadiers charged at the French forces and a ferocious mêlée ensued, after nearly an hour of vicious hand to hand combat, the French forces fell back and thus the 5th major assault to capture the flèches was once again failed.
Then all of a sudden, a woman shouts *BLEE!*
Can someone explain this to my friend please? He doesn't get it
@@iandavies2298 Your friend is a pillock.

a counter-attack within the battle itself

I always thought how did the armies know they had to meet up there for a battle?
Well, previous to a battle there were often skirmishers and recon patrols were also sent ahead of the armies, so most of times they found themselves somewhat awere of where was the enemy
