I remember watching Selma's interview with Robin Roberts in 2019, and it was truly heartbreaking to see her struggle to speak due to the burden of Multiple Sclerosis. It was difficult to watch. However, looking at her now, she seems to be more comfortable and confident when speaking, without any stutter. It's great to see her responding well to treatments, and I am happy for her.
Oh her story is so INSPIRING.....WOWWWW!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹💙🌹💙
At least I know I'm not alone because I have MS like her I've had MS for almost twenty years
I’m so glad she was finally correctly diagnosed. I can’t wait to read her book.
Selma definitely gives me hope. I was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 43.
God bless & be with you.🙏
@@chicagosusieq8548 Thank you
I was dx at 43 yrs old March 2021. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts, stay strong dear.
Me too a couple years ago. We got this.
@Naturally Dope please look up dr. Wahls diet she reverse her MS symptoms and is back to being herself! No joke!
Her speech has improved so much! It’s great to hear an update and see how far she has come! Love you Selma!! ❤
100% her recovery is super inspiring
I admire Selma and her bravery. I also suffer from an autoimmune disorder. There is hope.
Please Gayle King, quit interrupting. Selma has a very important story to tell. Also, I would like to hear the male interviewer’s ask more questions, not just Gayle.
Gayle thinks she is on the stage alone.
I was thinking the same thing that she kept interrupting her. She would ask a question and then talk over her.
@@1HeathersJourney I wonder sometimes if interviewers do that to get questions answered before segment is over and same with interrupting - trying to speed it up or truncate the other person's answer.
I was feeling the same exact way. Like she didnt have patience with her talking.
Exactly my thoughts, just another big mouth interviewer.
I’m training my own service dog. It makes me so happy to see her with her service dog. She seems so much better and more stable.
I was also very happy to see her with a Service Dog. Good for you for training yours! Know your laws and rights. I am so very proud of the famous women of my generation: P!nk, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Leah Remini, Selma, etc.
Gayle needs to let her subject actually speak.
Omg! I said the same thing. Like, let her talk Gayle😞
I have also spent my entire life like this. Only diagnosed 2.5 years years ago at age 52. Disabled by it in my early 30’s by an unknown illness. I have PTSD from all the bad doctors.
My Prayers are with you😊❤
She sounds wonderful. So happy she us on the upswing.
I know back in the day, MS was very hard to diagnose & doctors mistakenly diagnosed it as lupus. I suffer from an autoimmune disease which is mostly chronic pain. I'm in remission now but still have other health problems bought on by the disease. Selma is very inspiring! By being vocal & an advocate, she is helping many people. I'm happy that the treatment is working for her. She seems to be doing very well. I hope for her continued success & good health!
I was misdiagnosed for years despite my labwork that was showing what I have. But the doctors ignored my labs and diagnosed me with fibromyalgia 🤦🏽♀️ and then lupus which I don't have either.
I have an autoimmune disease that's awful and worse than Lupus.
I'm in Mexico
..
Lilly do you mind telling us what you have that is worse than Lupus?
I'm struggling with remembering the other autoimmune illnesses.
@@lillyrocks2011 I'm so sorry. I hope one day you will get the answers you need.
She has come a long way...
God bless this girl. May she keep gaining her strength 💪 🙏 ❤️
You go girl..✨️💕✨️
My cousin had MS symptoms at 19 years old, but the doctors thought she had some kind of heart condition. It took another10 years before she was finally correctly diagnosed with MS. It has been a very difficult journey for her. Everyone with MS has different symptoms. She kept having bladder infections. It was her urologist who told her he thought she had MS, because her bladder wasn't emptying out normally. Her bladder stopped working, and she has to catheterize herself 4 times a day. She eventually needed a kidney transplant. Her feet are numb, and she sometimes has to use a cane. She's in her 50's now, and she just keeps doing the best she can.
God bless her and you , sending u love & positivity.
Has been so inspiring to watch Selma’s journey. She looks so beautiful and healthy. Happy for her.
As a fellow MS survivor, I commend you Selma, for your unwavering tenacity to continue your quest to find the diagnosis you had been searching for. I was diagnosed with MS back in 1990, and at that time, when the neurologist came into my hospital room to inform me, I wasn't ready for what he had to tell me. All I could picture was me in a wheel chair. Thirty three years later, I am on a drug that has kept me in remission for years. I do walk with the assistance of a cane, just as you do. So, from one survivor to another, thank you for continuing to live your truth. I look forward to reading your book that I just ordered. Much love...❤🙏🙏
I like her ! She needs her own talk show or be a cohost.
Kinda’ knew who she was. Didn’t know much about her story. Watched this to fill some time. Totally impressed with her sense of self and honest reflections. Good to see. I hope she continues to thrive.
She's a beautiful soul.
LOVE that picture of her heart!! Did you see it?? Jumping off the boat…..all I see is her heart, not her body, not the scenery, her heart!! That picture is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. It’s uber rare to see what I see in that image and be moved by it. I think it’s beyond words beautiful.
Warm Wishes to you Selma.
She's fortunate to have had access to the doctors and tests unlike so many people who can't afford to and try desperately to push through until they end up in the hospital damaged by the lack of health care.
And it still took 20 + years to get a diagnosis.😢
@@ninadukette3340I’m pretty privileged too and it still took awhile to get diagnosed and multiple neurologist saw me. It’s shameful that doctors still don’t listen or order MRIs.
She looks and sounds fabulous! I have watched interviews where she struggled to control her body and speak. I’m so glad she appears to be thriving!
I love Selma ! What an inspiration ! 😀
She is the cutest thing and seems so sweet
She is a class act. 100%
Her neurologist and other possible doctors are MIRACLE WORKERS!!!In her interview from a few years ago, she was stuttering frequently and could not walk very well at all. She appears to be living a brand new life:WOW!!!
She has improved so much!
I understand that Gayle King is just trying to do her job, but c'mon let Selma speak!
Wow, she looks so good. Im really glad for her.
Totally relate. When I was diagnosed, I felt relieved too. I wasn’t crazy. Now people might believe me.
U go girl ❤ as someone who also has a debilitating chronic illness, so happy you got a diagnosis and help
Wow. She is communicating so much better. I watched a documentary about her and she was struggling
What the actual (beep) is going on with Gayle King? Why would she continue to talk over the guest, who shouldn't have to compete with a host to be heard. If Selma was at 100% it would be stressful and annoying to have to *just keep talking* to finish her thought, never mind when you're _not._ Selma took care of The Problem like a champ, but it was so unbelievably unprofessional. On a bright note, she looks heavenly and her dog is such a sweetie, taking a nap while mommy works.
Dude, I wish Gayle would stop interrupting the guest. Stop and just listen.
Thinking the same thing...🙄
I wonder if it's because the time for the interview is short and get the questions in or even shorten the guests answers to keep segment on time.
I agree. She need to shut up 😩😩
Let her speak Gail!!
beautiful so powerful as she sits and speaks not being ashamed of her illness. She holds her cane like a queen and has a large dog at her feet.
Why does Gail keeping interrupting Selma?
Wow she is doing so well ! I'm so impressed . Yay Selma
She looks FABULOUS at 50 years old.
You are a hero to lot of people out there and a great mother , i cheer for you Selma..
Selma, you're amazing ! Keep fighting 💪 🩷
Wow! She is looking and sounding better!
Huge improvement! So happy for her!
Girl crush forever. She will handle her life with class and grace. She may have bad days but you got support and people all over love you. ❤️
I am so glad you are better. It gives me hope. I have progressive ms and have been on treatments. I am really interested in the stem cell route so it’s great to see the outcome. Thank you for sharing ☺️
What type of stem cell?
I have had ALL of this stuff. For years. My ON had my eye doc write a note saying he thought I have MS. I’m 49. No brain lesions but my spinal fluid was abnormal. Selma looks fantastic ❤❤❤
i remember her interview from 2019 shes doing much better her speech is improving shes such an inspiration to people that are dealing with this disease
God she’s beautiful… I wish her all the best. She’s so strong.
It’s amazing how much her movement and voice has improved.
50 and absolutely beautiful!
The worst thing when you have a long term illness (pain not withstanding) is your focus changes so much to yourself. Especially if you were already self focused. Everything you practically think, say, or do revolves around your story, dealing with symptoms, and of course going to doctors. It affects everything.
I have always loved Selma Blair.. I'm happy to to see her getting back in her fabulous shape in general.
This gives some people hope that someone will find out what is wrong with them. So many times we are made to feel like it is all on our heads but we know it’s not.
So sorry...and yes a diagnosis is such a relief...ty
…diagnosed 2016….and I was happy too….I thought I had a brain tumor! I make my cane look cool too…
She is a strong lady
She is adorable !! ❤
So glad she's doing better you stay blessed beautiful ❤
Selma you are a phenomenal writer.
Yes, I plan on reading this book. Her tweets are very creative and she is interesting to read.
Optic neuritis is how most of us find out we have MS....
I'm so glad she's feeling and looking better.
Selma looks great! Hang in there! I was diagnosed the same way for sarcoidosis,
Is that weakness? Im still tryna get a dr help
I am convinced I have sarcoidosis (lung nodules, heart palpitations, chest pain, fatigue). I have seen every specialist under the sun, and no one is listening to me. Can you please share more about how you finally achieved your diagnosis?
Currently reading her book! Picked it up because someone on twitter recommended it for those with autoimmune conditions etc, and it’s really good!
I have similar issues, I would love to talk to her about it more
Amazing woman. God bless her. I have Fibromyalgia which is NOTHING compared to MS. And for her to have it so young. She looks amazing & beautiful.
Selma I think that ur so very beautiful and I saw ur story....Iam happy to learn that ur OKKKKKKĶKK..HAVE URSELF A WONDERFUL LIFE AND I WILL BE READING UR STORYYY....SO GO AND LIVE UR BEAUTIFUL LIFE Selma!!!!!!!!
She looks amazing 😍
I thought her name was Belma Slair. Im glad she is doing better. Her speech is nearly perfect now.
Dang Gail . Are you going to allow her to tell her story or are you going to tell hers for her ? 🙄
Beautiful on the inside and out. She looks great.
We love youSelma!!
Selma is so beautiful inside and out.
As nice and sharp as Gayle is, she needs to step back and let her guest speak without interruptions. It isn't about her after all and she is taking away from us the possibility to enjoy the presence of the guest that we actually want to hear. ~ So glad to see Selma back to herself. What a difference from 5 years ago! ♥
Love her as a blonde 💁🏼♀️ and loved Biden escorting her to the South Lawn. Selma and Christina Applegate are doing great things for the MS community ❤️🩹
GAYLE KING GOOODNESSSSSSS WHY KEEP INTERRUPTING SELMA SHUT UP SOMETIMESSSSS
To be 50 (pr middle aged - yes 50 is middle aged) with MS, she does look great!
But more importantly, she sounds like she's doing well.
that dog is like: ok make it long, im loving this carpet.
I love Selma. She's great.
Selma Selma Selma Blair someone who naturally get a stare ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful human ❤
She is inspirational to me.
Wow her voice is 100% better!
She is an amazing story teller
This is me right now suspected to have MS after many many years of one illness after another and I need help .
Good to see her looking good. I don't want to scare her, but I had and still do have a crush on her. Selma is a nice person.
Love Selma ❤
John 3:16, this vese is so true and so needed in this broken world.
I noticed the clear cane right away. She is the furst pwrson I have seen with a clear cane. Selma, you fo everythibg with style. ❤
Thanks for sharing your journey. Very helpful.
She looks so beautiful.
She Looks Good, and Doing Good, Happy for Her. 🙂🌱💎
God bless her
Her style is 10 years ahead the rest!
Gayle is the worst interviewer--let your guest speak and not you. She is always trying to talk while Selma is trying to talk.
❤ I've never seen your work, but you truly are pretty! ❤
Selma looks gorgeous!
selma is talented
After being accused of being a lier and seeking drugs i was kicked out, getting security called on me at a neurologist appointment because my doctor's and ER staff that referred me to the neurologist all wanted to rule out M.S.... i am at the edge, lost,... I became disowned by my father because I can't bring in the dough for myself... I can't meet the physical demands... Now I am homeless
Please explain to me how having MS and going through such a rough time you decide that it's a good ideatm to have rhinoplasty... There are things that I just don't understand.
I love her
Relating by a ten year head start to Selma Blair,
- just so inexpressible the sudden providential in the not for profit, Touch of Kindness endeavors, that includes reports of goodness news,
not unique, that's true, but those blessed to have exposure to her story,
to some degree, the person by true love in the human heart, loves Selma Blair,
and I'm someone who love in neighborly friendship online relating, truly cares for,
and loves Selma Blair.
During the life of each blessing of joy of life, yes, sorrows,
however the *unearned suffering of factors* beyond someone's control,
just hurts, right?
Ok, yes, that happens to each someone human, sadly and intensity of this pain God Only Knows, yes, God helps each someone human, like Selma Blair,
yet, even distant by God's help "hand holding" regardless of how brief just has humanity of heart & soul, of the interaction by real communication.
Need of blessed by the Creator Granted impartial rights,
can only strive, thankfully to *relate* to each other, -
Of course, this includes social online communication, by intercession of the Creator,
this relates to being one believer of the body of believers,
and that Spirit of truth from God formed, like in the Scriptural texts of The Holy Bible,
by those texts being the Helper to each someone on sojourn of life in humanity.
Only by God! can beyond the human condition,
that is by God's help can there be heartfelt caring that surpasses one's own capabilities,
such is the "Golden Rule."
Even so, this relating can just empathize never experience someone else, for that is silly, and contrary to only God never wearies, being Eternal and Benevolent.
Of course that happens to be true, so? The blessings of life include someone relating to someone else, thank God for God's Spirit of truth. Good today of days by sojourn by and from daily sojourn 24/7 Creator Granted rights and dignity.
Great interview
She's giving the performance of her life. Gotta give her props for that. She's got us all hooked.
