I am on your list too, Thomas. I am 76 and I have never heard a voice quite so wonderful. I cannot tell you what it does to my soul when she sings, but it is strong enough that I have asked my Lord to allow me to visit Ireland some day, as it must be a wonderful place to produce such a marvelous voice. I suspect that I will not get to visit in this life, but surely in the next when I am home with my dear Savior. Then I will surely visit Ireland.

Heard this song on Oregon Public Radio more than 30 years ago, and it brought home the reality of my beautiful homeland. I've followed Mary Black ever since. Bill Morrissey was the artist that night and all I could think about was the song by a woman that i had just heard minutes ago. It bugged me so much that I asked the owner of the club who it was and he dutifully went through the tape and I learned that the artist was MAry Black, and the song I heard that night was called ANACHIE GORDON, from her first album. The search was on after that and the the internet came along just in time and here I am with as much MAry Black music as I can handle!
