Apple still hasn’t really fixed AirTags. I have problems with my own AirTags. When I lose something. The alerts when you have someone else’s AirTags. Takes way too long to notify you.
My brother's car just got carnapped yesterday and had he not put one of these in his car, they wouldn't have been able to track and recover it. He, his wife and their newborn were moving 4,000km to another province in Canada and all of their documents and important stuff were in it. Parked their car in a safe payed parking at a tourist destination on one of their stops and they were able to recover the car 2hours after because of the airtag. It's I guess a double-edged sword.
I coun't watch you livestream hours ago, I'll watch it later, but I need to say, Travis, don't give up your channel or your usual tech videos. Please, just continue doing them because you're one of the most sincere tech review that me and your audience like to watch. If you want you coud do other kind of videos here and video tech review too. But, it's just an advice of someone of your audience, if you really need move foward in another new channel me and everyone of us will support you. :)

I can see your issue but here is my problem. My neighbor had his shop broke into and several items stole. I bought the air tag to put on some outdoor equipment so if it gets stolen I can track it down. By apple notifying the theft it defeats the purpose. I now lose my equipment and my air tag gets destroyed.
Here is the fix. The moment it thinks an airtag is following you. Force a pop up like when an app asks if it can track you or not and it over rides everything until you interact with that message saying yes i got the notification
Just change the registering process, so that you have to register a credit card with your iCloud account before being able to link an AirTag to it. - My wife and I use the AirTags, and love them. We’ve stuck them on our keys, water bottles, remote controls, purse, wallet. I love them.
In all honesty wish you the best and I think you’re doing the right thing stepping away from tech reviews. It’s too difficult to compete with the latest and greatest from MKBHD and MrWhosetheBoss and unfortunately don’t have the wider tech knowledge of Austin evans and Linus. Wish you all the best in your next venture. Hopefully you smash it as you are authentic and that’s something I have always appreciated
There’s room for everybody in tech particularly on release days, fans just like gorging themselves on all the different reviews and takes of different creators to enhance their own experience of ownership and before they hit that button to purchase.
I disagree that they should be recalled, I have a lot of expensive equipment as a musician, and if something were to get stolen, these are extremely useful to know where it is. Also they are great for traveling in the event your luggage is lost or stolen.

Great, it alerts the person stealing the tagged item that there is a tracker attached. Thanks stalkers for ruining a great product. Thieves, chalk up another win! The use for them is to prevent theft plus find lost items.

Travis I have a set of 4 AirTags and I have 1 on my keys 🔑, 1 on my gym bag 🎒, 1 in my Brief case and one in my Travel bag 🛅. The only one that has ever been useful to me was the one in my Travis bag. I knew where my luggage 🧳 was while waiting for it in the airport 🛫 terminal. I never lose my keys 🔑 and my gym bag and briefcase 💼 is always with me. The only real use for air tags are for locating your luggage in the airport. Otherwise, it's a waste 🗑 of money 💰 to me. Great video though.

Yeah, Tech RUclips is dead. The amount of effort placed in this video with such little views is frustrating. I know you'll do MUCH better going a different route. You got the voice and personality for RUclips, it's just the tech space.
1 to 2 days is really not that bad to get a notification. Despite Travis’s sister in law. Apple has to be able to see the tag following someone as a trend first not just something purely accidental or coincidental.
Soooooooo…what happens if I put it on someone’s car who has an ANDROID device????? Will they be notified?? If so, HOW??? I can see apple being able to ALERT someone who has an iPhone…but if they do not…how would they know?
I’m kind of bored of my iPhone but I can’t find anything reliable enough on the android side. What would you recommend? I wanted the s22 ultra but all the exynos reviews suck. Google pixel is unreliable based on reviews. There’s nothing. Do you have any recommendations? If nothing is as reliable as an iPhone I will just stick with it

Wouldn’t a better fix would be an AirTag giving alerts to other people sooner if they stick to them (an AirTag close to the same stranger more than 1 hour) and the AirTag away from the iPhone that owns it more than 1hr too… it would’ve useful to follow your kids but it isn’t supposed to be for that either.

Yep, Apple should cut their losses and pull these from the market. Honestly, it is just a matter of time before a serious event happens as a direct result of these devices being used for nefarious purposes.
It’s been a useful tool for me. I had my car stolen and we were able to find it within hours. I hope the young guy that stole my car turns his life around, because I could tell he was a rock bottom

GPS trackers exists way before AirTag and basically you can't detect them automatically by your phone at all.
