Absolutely fantastic video. I would have no issue follow this guide i would of liked it if you would of said NO grease/oil here .seems wrong when moving parts have no lube, I would be worried in case you forgot to say grease this. I have a mk1 which I love, bought a HW100 prior which was a nightmare and sent b ack to Hull for refund. I was over moon with the R10 but sent it to John bowkett to tune, it came back like a new gun, even better. I dread anyone having to work on it, if I needs seals erc done I will follow this guide, well done and thanks
Awesome video man very nice gun has alot of parts but I'm glad you know how to put it back together great job lots of info thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Nice video. The R10 mk2 is the first air rifle I took apart and tuned with the help of videos from Darryn at xtx. My only gripe is that the small hex heads strip easily and tolerances are not as good as air arms or weihrauch.
Thanks, Darryn made some good videos I used to like them, shame he gave it up really. The QC on the BSA stuff can be hit and miss, but the AA and HW stuff is normally spot on. Thanks for watching.
Hi a quick question in the regulator block there is a threaded screw 2mm which sits behind the regulator under the pressure gauge. How far in or out should this be please Thank you
At some point in the future I guess you will get hold of a R12 to compare as the R10 does seem over complicated compared to some other manufacturers. Great video as always guys 👍
Excellent vid. Just about to upgrade to a Huma as my stock reg is leaking so really appreciate this teardown. At 26:00 you are dry firing to test but the safety appears to be on - any notes on assembly to ensure it's engaged properly?
Im hoping you can help. I've purchased a huma reg and when stripping the gun for the first time, unbolting the toast rack, the rack seems to be glued in. Also the block serial number on yours is JK 1175 on mine its ST 1466. Did they start to glue in the Toast rack and is there a work around to remove it.. Or do you even have to.. Thanks from Will
Just tried fitting my huma regulator but it doesn’t go all the way in. There’s a brass cross bit in the block obstructing it does this have to be removed? If so how do you get it out? Thanks.
Hello, can i ask a pressing quessing. i am new to the R1O Mk2 and searched for a vid of a total strip down and found this excellent vid. done so clearly i would attempt it if work is needed. i looked for a strip down because i read that the R10 has a issue with the breech/action area being weak around the transfer port area due to lack of materrial? the article said that if light pressure is applied at the bottle and barrel movement can be seen.It was reccommended that any owner should use a 1 piece scope mount that bridges the mag well to strengthen the area. in your vid i can see the area in question but i would have no idea if this is a issue or not.do you have any thoughts or advice please? thank you
Recently purchased a new .177 r10 TH Super Carbine. When pressure topped up the first 10 or so shots are striking about 100mm low at 30yrds then back to normal. Is this normal for the R10? Or should i be returning it to the shop to remidy. Appreciate your advise and what you believe the issue is. Thanks Rob
Hi, it sound like the reg is not doing it's job properly, the R10 reg is not the most reliable, you could try just filling to 200bar but i would be inclined to return it for repair, it should shoot about the same when just filled all the way down to reg pressure really
@Sub12 Airgunners thankyou for your advice, air bottle was a little low so could only fill to 200 bar. I will return to have it checked. Once BSA warranty has expired I will look to install a Huma reg. Otherwise I'm really pleased with the R10, fantastic gun 👍
Hi Jake please can I ask for your advice. I recently bought a 2nd hand BSA R10 SE . After shooting the rifle for a couple of weeks I have had to take the rifle into Crawley Surplus as the pellets were jambing in the magazine. I managed to wiggle out the damaged pellet a few times but on the last time the Range Officer at my club tried to hammer it out with a rod but this has damaged the pellet probe so that I couldn't use the bolt the rifle also seemed to lack in power. The pellets I have been using were reccomended by the club and are JSB Exact 8.44gr and 4.5mm. Have you experienced this problem before and could you reccomend a suitable pellet to ovoid this happening again once I get the rifle back. Thanks in advance of your advice.
Could be a couple things, I would recommend to use the 8.44 JSB some pellets just don't like magazines but the JSB's should be fine, the next thing is the mag its self, older rifles came with all metal mags which were notorious for jamming so a new mag may be beneficial. Hope that helps somewhat, hopefully the fellas at crawley can get it sorted for you. Thanks for watching.
It dose, the higher the pressure the more available power but you need more spring load to open the valve to get it, a good starting point .177 90 /100 bar .22 80/90 bar in sub 12 and barrel length will play a part also
Hi Geoff, could you possibly show how to shorten the amount of first stage trigger travel? I love my MK2 R10, but the first stage travel is a pain!, it’s just too long!! All the best Andy.
@@sub12airgunners Thanks Geoff, I really love the videos! They give me confidence to strip and fix my own guns💪 How to remove a shear bolt on an Air Arms Ultimate sporter would be good too😁 keep up the good work, and looking forward to the next video. Take care. Andy
Where u drop the ball bearing in, is the brass faceplate on the spring meant to face the ball or is tge spring meant to face the ball? My spring bit fell out so dodnt get a chance to see
Yeah, I really appreciate you taking the time to show us I would have gotten such a model without your video.Thank you so much?🎉😅
thanks for watching 👍

If we get our hands on one its on the cards, although its a lot of money for a rifle with a steel bottle. Thanks for watching.
Nice clear video will be using this to change my probe on my r10. Subbed and bell'd
Awesome, thank you!
Love that rifle 😃
yes this one is a great gun 👍👍
Very helpful and informative video, is the HUMA regulator adjustable in terms of power ?

Please can you advise if you are putting any .177 stainless pellet probes on Ebay for the BSA R10 SE I can only find ones for .22 thanks.
Hope you will answer bsa hornet think I need new regulater very little air coming out of barrel thanks in advance

the toast rack interlocks with the bottle housing it's probably wants a slight twist and the rack will come out 😀

Hi yes that has to be removed and the o ring you can tap the block to get them out usually 👍
Would this be a similar modification to fit a huma in the Scorpion SE

@@sub12airgunners Thanks for your help Jake. I have ordered a single shot tray but will try the pellets.
Hi mate great video 👍 have you got one for th 12? J want slightly adjust the hammer spring and potentially adust fit the humar reg. Thank you
Hi no sorry but we are going to be doing a 12 soon 👍
Does reg pressure affect pellet velocity? I don’t really understand what pressure the reg should be set to.

R10 regulator in my gun has failed, does that mean it's the seals around the regulator that have gone, or do u need to replace the regulator..
you can re-seal them but it's not worth it IMO put a Huma in and forget it
how do u remove the top part of the regulator. every vid i watch just shows it falling out but mine wont
any chance of a bsa r12 strip down please id love to see the new regulator
the R12 is on the list to do 😀
