big love frankie. this is a good reminder to do a mental check during your games. allow yourself a 1 hour timer during games to do a check in. realize you are on tilt and have a plan in place to deal with said tilt. this isnt your first tilt or your last tilt. get a plan in place man! love your content
Dude, I remember the 1st time I lost over $2k in a poker game. I flipped and walked out screaming. I was miserable for a few days. I realized that was my breaking point though. Since then I have brought with me to my regular $2/5nl games $1900 and realized that is my breaking point. I have had sessions winning over $2k and over $3k, but just mentally fall apart when crossing the $2k loss mark. Thank you for having the guts to show this video though and try your best not to worry. You are so young, have a great caring family, and are so lucky to have a poker playing gf!!!!! My wife doesn't like poker, holds me down as much as she can and gives me so little freedom in life now that we have kids. Be so grateful for the life you are living.

you probably will not see this, but if you ever notice yourself going on tilt even a little bit, take a second. Go to the bathroom, hell even say “guys i’m heated, give me a few hands” works wonders for me. Grab a water, take a piss. Poker loves to grab all of your attention while you are winning or losing, happens to all of us.
I appreciate the advice Jack. I’m always hovering around the comments to see what I could do to improve. That’s exactly what I needed to do but I hate taking a walk and “admitting” to the table I’m tilted. But if I’m being honest with myself, my face says it all to the whole table

Nobody wants to admit it but in two card poker you have to play tight, and in a live setting where people hate folding you have to play insanely tight. If you do that you will make HEAPS. Will people like you? no. Will people invite you to streams. no. Will you win? yep

Frankie, it happens. Sometimes it just isn't your day; last few times I played I hit my loss limits and left. But as long as you have those who care about you when it really hits the emotional fan, you can then find it within yourself to heal, and let your head clear as you take that hard look at yourself in the mirror.
After a hard tilt like this, don't rush your need to get back to the tables. Make sure you have enough nerve to do so, and a deep enough stack to handle living expenses as well as a felting, maybe two. Mike Caro would have said losing three buy-ins would cross the "Threshhold of pain," I would think smaller games should help you get back that part of you that loved the game in the first place. Don't think you have to mortgage a house to play your next year; make sure your mind is well again, and maybe get back to the stakes "Next Gen Poker" was famous for. If you need to talk to Kitty and get your head straight and your heart right. There's no shame in lower stakes games to rebuild confidence.

I dont even think it was your ego tho it was more that once your start losing your brain chemistry and thought patterns start shifting towards a recovering losses/ negative mindset and so thats why its always advisable to set a stop loss or leave when losing. it would happen to anyone though ego or not.
