Wow interesting to know you didn't do all the NBME forms available online. People always say to do those and not miss them... that's a relief because those forms are so long and hard to review, and they're not even in 40-question blocks!
I hope I can pass USMLE I Don't haves a job,I am 36 years old all my dreams related to USMLE,if I can choose between my life and USMLE I would choose USMLE
I failed my USMLE exam 2 times first was 2020 second was 2021 and I lost money on review questions and also wasted a lot of time studying which never helped me .
thanks for sharing, im afraid not setting a max interval and end up forgetting cards i watch the anki simulator video and how you explained this for us but im still afraid to do it
Curious as a younger student watching this…not a medical student. Did you score in the same percentile (98th+) on your high school standardized tests? SAT, ACT, AP, etc.
ACT and MCAT were both similar, yes, although I wouldn't compare the ACT and MCAT to step exams. There is always test taking skills that were help you, but the ACT and MCAT are much more reasoning exams, whereas the Step exams are built on a massive amount of knowledge and the more of that knowledge you know, the easier the test is. Just think of all the possible drugs and their side effects for example
@@AnKingMed I understand. I was curious as to whether your scores would all correlate. I’m assuming that this is a common trend. However, I certainly see your point as to how the tests are different.
Your Majesty, if I want to only use Amboss because I cannot afford UWorld (I am from third world country), will I do well in Step 2? Will I miss out if I don't do any UWorld at all?
I have a request I know it is easy to say but hard to do can we have anki with rom research features active recall (anki) is fabulous but zettelkasten (rom research) is not ignorable
How is AMBOSS better for Shelf and UWorld better for Step 2? Shelf is called Shelf because they're shelved Step 2 questions. I felt like my Shelfs so far have looked pretty much like UWorld
AMBOSS was written for the shelf exams. Uworld was written for step 2. Also I felt AMBOSS did a better job preparing me for step 1 and step 2. Uworld tries to copy the exact difficulty and style of the actual tests, but that’s not necessarily the best thing. AMBOSS is much better at teaching the material and teaching test taking abilities. Regardless, I used both and I would probably recommend others use both as well if they want to score high
@@AnKingMed when you talk about amboss. Say you were on surgery rotation, did you do the clinical shelf surgery questions and then the usmle step 2 ck questions where you can specifically select only surgery questions, Or just the shelf questions then save the step 2 ck for dedicated What I’m basically asking is how did you set up your custom session for each rotation?
@@AnKingMed my point is that Shelf questions are retired Step 2 questions. So to say that one is made for Shelf is silly, because the questions on Shelf and Step 2 are both Step 2 questions.
This man is such a unit.

I've always believed USMLE is not all about studying, you need God's grace to pass
So sorry about that am still looking forward too take my USMLE exam on June just studying hard and praying to God I know I can make it.
USMLE exam is so difficult & I don't know the reason why it should be?
After, 3-4 years of studying we are being challenged be the ultimate exam "USMLE" many students face difficulties in acquiring their license
I failed my USMLE exam 2 times first was 2020 second was 2021 and I lost money on review questions and also wasted a lot of time studying which never helped me .
did you keep up with your step one cards during year three?

Definitely! Amboss is king!
@@AnKingMed thank you!!
What is DiVirgilio?
How did you decide which cards to do since you only did 4301? Did you base them off tags?

Advice vs Actual #5 =
I'm also glad to see more people will be advised to get rid of the max interval
