Subscribed and currently Watching the whole Playlist of Joseph (thank you for making the playlists) I looked further into this as I was confused as to why Joseph would set someone up and accuse them. The men were his brothers, the youngest being Benjamin. He wanted Benjamin to stay with him but the whole reason as to why Joseph did this was to see if the brothers had changed their ways. By placing the silver cup and "proving" Joseph's accusations, they agreed to Joseph's request to keep the one caught as a slave as they believed they did not steal. When they found out one did. The brothers instantly asked to not take Benjamin, as he was caring for their Father (Jacob - who is also Joseph's dad) and instead ask for one of them to be kept in his place. What this shows us us that these brothers who originally turned on Joseph due to their jealousy and sold him (he was the YOUNGEST) of them. The test was to see if they would sell their own young brother out again but they didn't. They begged and pleaded and offered themselves. This shows Joseph that his brother truly are changing and servants of the lord and are repenting for their sins. It may seem excessive to do so but the lord worked through Joseph. What he does is Just and Right because its gods will. They sold him at a young age and spent years in prison. From about 17 - 30 he was in a foreign land, away from his family. Different customs, traditions. He didnt know anyone but with the lord at his side Joseph prospered. Even through suffering and pain he succeeded showing us the mercy of the lord and his grace. His devotion and faith was so strong he was blessed and given the title just under the Pharaoh but the same power. He changed many lives, taught many lessons and shows us how powerful and wise the lord is, yet also how merciful he is. Blessings in disguise. So when you're struggling. Turn to the lord and keep heart. When hurting you may be taught an invaluable lesson. Keep focused on doing gods will. Dont give up. Look at Job and look at Joseph. These two kept strong even when pushed to the extreme! God bless you all and thank you doe the video. I love Bible Stories. I love the messages they teach.
