I've noticed the difficulty level aside from the number makes a big difference. Like an expert or challenge 12 tends to be more complex versus difficult or basic 12 tends to be more straight forward. Not always but
@@thesmilingvagrants They tend to overrate boss songs' easier charts to make them seem like greater accomplishments. BPM is also a very big factor--Max 300 is a prime example of a Beginner chart that's pretty dang simple but would scare newbies off because of its melody and speed regardless of how difficult the charts actually are.
