I just got done reading a BBC News article about Famo gang violence that has made Lesotho the murder capital of the African continent. It's crazy that these people are murdering each other over their music. It's a damn shame because it's honestly really beautiful to listen to.

Eric the Dutch settlers in South Africa took the piano accordion with them when they rejected British rule and went into the interior of South Africa. They usually went Thaba Nchu, a settlement in the Eastern Freestate. These settlers stayed there with their allies, the local people. It was from this settlement that the piano accordion playing spread to Lesotho to become of their culture.
