If you want to see more of these two, find a compilation of their "Joke Swap" and react to that! They do it annually and it's great. They each read jokes live that the other wrote, but that the person reading has never seen before! There's a couple of those mixed into this clip here that you just watched, for example. But they're the best of these two for sure. There was even a new one just last weekend!
They would almost be funny ... if they could "deliver a joke" without laughing at it!! Watch #DavidSpade try to "Not Break" sometime ... -THAT'S- comedy!!
@@IMKingSupreme Do the Joke Swap for sure. Plus, not sire if it's mentioned, but these guys are also best friends outside SNL and Colin;s wife is Scarlett Johansson.
You have to watch their biannual weekend update joke swaps, some of the jokes in this clip are from that. They usually do them for the Xmas show and at the end of the season in May. Both write really outrageous jokes for each other to read live on the air, and Michael Che (the Black guy) really goes in on his jokes for Colin Jost (the white guy)! They’re the best thing about SNL! 🤣 It’s really funny because they’re harsh jokes but the guys are BFFs for real.
On Christmas and the last show of the season Jost and Che write jokes for each other. Then they have to read them live on air having never seen them. They are brutal jokes. Che always writes one about Jost’s wife, Scarlett Johansson. This past joke swap was criminally funny. Scarlett was backstage live when Jost read the joke about eating nothing but roast beef every night since Scarlett had a baby… and he had to read it in “black voice”. 😂
Two things you need to know going in on weekend update with these two so you fully get what's going on is 1) once a year around Xmas, they do Joke Swap where they both write jokes for each other that the other's never seen that they then read Live on the air. You did a Joke Swap compilation vid here so that's why Colin Jost, the white guy, reads so many racist jokes. Because Michael Che, the black dude, be the one writing them, making Colin say each and every one, doing him dirty. These two are comedy Gold already, but Joke Swap is their annual masterpiece. They just did their latest one last weekend and they managed to crush it yet again doing their best one yet. The other thing to know is Colin Jost the white dude is married to Scarlet Johanson in real life. That's important to know to get all the jokes on Joke Swap. Che do Colin dirty on wife jokes he write too. It's a genius premise. Because each joke pays off multiple times. The joke itself which is usually racist, then the pure hilariousness watching Colin's face as he dies inside from what Che wrote that he just had to say and then when they cut to Michael Che who always acts offended and outraged by the racist joke Colin just said, like he wasn't the one that wrote the joke in the first place. This set up/pay off works perfect every time. Every article in the news talk about how edgy comedy from the past you couldn't do that today. Lies! Because these two Yahoo's be doing it every weekend the last sux years not giving two F*cks. The outlaw spirit of Norm lives on, baby!
In the first Joke Swap, Colin went in relatively tame and good natured and Mr. Che came in hard. Colin has upped his game since then, but he still seems to be pulling his punches a bit.
As others have mentioned, you should watch the jokes swap they do. And it’s best to start in order of when they came out. Because Che’s jokes that he wrote for Colin were so much edgier than Colin’s. Eventually Colin started to get bolder and bolder as they did the annual jokes swaps. And it’s gotten so much better between the two. You might have seen this in some of the comments already, but Colin is married to Scarlett Johansson.
Collin Jost amd Michael Che were head writers at SNL, Che just stepped down. But they have done a lot to bring the show's overall quality up in the kast few years.
Great reaction! You contributed to the content and didn't talk over the video. I think you'd enjoy weekend update with Pete Davidson as a guest, especially the one about Staten Island. 😆
My favorite jokes are the ones that You don't destroy by pausing in the middle of them! Is it so hard to pause Between the jokes? You know; where it actually makes sense?❤
Isn't this the bit where they write jokes for one another and don't get to preview the jokes then read them live? I'm sure it is, that's the only way people can get away with sh*t like this these days.
The writers do sometimes (maybe often) switch the punchlines from what they did in rehersal to jokes even during the regular episodes. Probably at least once a week, maybe more often.
God I hate how the expression, "out of pocket" has become, not only misused, but completely overused! It's an insurance term for Christ's sake! It doesn't mean outside the box!❤
Out of pocket, being used in the way I assume you're talking about, has nothing to do with insurance. It's based on the game of pool. They're using it entirely correctly.
The joke swap from last Saturday was wild.
Seriously that was way brutal lol
The best is when they swap jokes. They are savages 😂😂
The Weekend Update is the only SNL i watch these days, it's still funny, maybe because these two get to write the jokes
These two were cohead-writers for the whole show the past 5 seasons
Absolutely so the recent ones. The joke swap ones are the best. They do it every year. New one just dropped. Much love 🫶🏻

Bet thanks for letting me know. I’ll get to that asap!!

the joke swap episodes are the absolute best SNL content n years

The announcers write the lines for each other, so it is especially funny!

SNL Salesman
Find and react to all of the SNL joke swaps between Colin Jost and Michael Che. You will be crying tears of laughter, I guarantee you. 🤣

This is a compilation of several of their 'joke swap' episodes. hilarious the way they go at each other.
Collin Jost amd Michael Che were head writers at SNL, Che just stepped down. But they have done a lot to bring the show's overall quality up in the kast few years.
Dudes married to Black Widow!
Oh hell yeah, you gotta watch the joke swap ones especially.
Great reaction! You contributed to the content and didn't talk over the video. I think you'd enjoy weekend update with Pete Davidson as a guest, especially the one about Staten Island. 😆
I think Colin and Michael only write the swaps and the rest is up to the series writers
My favorite jokes are the ones that You don't destroy by pausing in the middle of them! Is it so hard to pause Between the jokes? You know; where it actually makes sense?❤
The OLDEST G of weekend update is Chevy Chase, 1976. Just sayin
When does the video start?
i hate to say this but Norm was not the OG. Chevy Chase was.

There's a couple of the Joke Swap jokes mixed in here, but most are just the normal jokes they tell.
The writers do sometimes (maybe often) switch the punchlines from what they did in rehersal to jokes even during the regular episodes. Probably at least once a week, maybe more often.
Weekend Update is the only good part of SNL.
