Universal studios definitely needs something new. Once epic opens, that park will need something big to bring the general public back and a brand spanking new coaster right in the front will get people excited for sure
Live in Florida. The only reason we take the train to Universal is to ride mummy and Gringotts. Then we race back to IOA. Rip Rocket was cool when it first opened. They recently took away most of the songs on Rip Ride Rocket. Once I saw that, I knew this coaster was on its last leg. Completely agree they will shut it down once Epic opens.
That would objectively be a bad choice, because it would likely be a launch coaster, and the Universal Orlando resort doesn't need any more of those things. I have zero hype for Epic Universe because 75% of the park's coasters only make the launch coaster oversaturation the resort has even worse. Removing the resort's ONLY big coaster without a launch for a launch coaster would give me no faith that the resort could make a good decision when it comes to choosing coaster models. Starfall Racers shouldn't have been launched, they add nothing to the resort with Hulk and VeolciCoaster other than milk nostalgia for Dragon Challenge.
@@AceAviations2L take imo. Id rather quickly get launched up a top hat and get more airtime while still having a drop then clicking up a lift hill for a minute of the ride time. These parks without much room to expand cant have 800 feet of dead track. Id rather have starfall racers than a genaric b&m giga like Leviathan or Orion
@@AceAviations2dude launch coasters are much better for park like universal and Disney, since they don't really like to disturb the "landscape" and "atmosphere" of their parks. Launchs are much more suitable.
Launch coaster, spinning trains that are enclosed in its own dome each, inside all you see are screens all around with surround audio… a blend between a motion simulator and a launch coaster… would top guardians of the galaxy at epcot… make it happen universal
Universal needs to build Hollywood Dream: The Ride. Not an exact clone from Japan, but a B&M mini hyper. 9 car trains. Mako schmako--7 inversion loopers are everywhere. Hulk, Kraken, Montu, Kumba. No inversions for this particular ride. Just make the mini hyper feel like a giga
Have you seen the reports that Cedar Fair has uploaded about the possible new roller coasters in its Cedar Point, Kings Island and Carowinds parks? I hope you can make a video soon
The mack hyper layout is pretty cool. Hollywood Dream: The Ride just sounds too good. I would personally build a coaster without inversions to provide a complementary experience to Hulk and Velocicoaster. Park hopping would be even more encouraged.
I think I would like to see the B&m hyper they planned before RockIt! as that can be a opportunity which could be something since i only want the Fast and Furious Coaster like the one in Hollywood replace supercharged, to make it a New York theme and also tear down the abandoned Nickelodeon and Blue Man Group Theatre to go across it, I think a Mack Coaster similar to Hyperia can work too
Honestly I hope they do something else over there besides having a coaster. I know the park definitely needs a new one but fitting another coaster in that small area is not the best for sightlines. I personally I think they will do something ghostbusters theme possibly like a dark ride or something.
They NEED to replace HRRR, it's the only big coaster *in the entire Orlando resort* without a launch, sightlines be damned. Remove HRRR and all of the big coasters at the USO resort are launch coasters, that's not a good thing.
Here's another idea. Keep the footprint of the ride, but load in at the firehouse on the other side of Jimmy Fallon, and being back the Ghostbusters theme. I would love to have a Ghostbuster coaster, especially if you could ride it by the Hard Rock and all the other places Rip Ride Rocket goes.
depending on how much work would be involved for demo, and if they reuse the existing station... it could go up pretty quick too... and be ready for Simpsons to close... it "could" be themed to something from illuminations... maybe even "Sing" to keep the music theme.
This is a good video. I do actually like RRR, but I am not stuck on it. A marquee coaster would great for Studios. A hyper coaster makes sense, because they have gone heavy with kid attractions lately, plus the rumor Pokemon is coming to Studios.
Universal Studios Florida will need a full overhaul. While replacing HRRR is a step in the right direction, it needs to get rid of the majority of the simulator/screen rides.
Three most likely options: MACK stryker, Intamin Vertical LSM, or Gerstlauer Infinity (Zamperla Lightning or Maurer Spike FUN seem possible but less likely)
I agree with you, after Epic Universe opens next year, I feel that it would be time for Universal Creative to close down Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit. As for your idea of a Mack Rides Hyper Coaster, I predict that the Studios park will become the place to be in 2026. I’m all in for it!
What about S&S 4D? They've figured it out with Dinoconda. Isn't the cost the only issue? That's fine for Universal, they need something dense and awesome here; a can't miss attraction with all the hype.
A Mackhyper Coaster Construton update#1 for Universal Orlando Resort in 2027 Opening day so are You Interested Theme Park Predictions Please let me know 🇺🇸
The Idea of Rockit is so cool, the way they executed it was horrible. Imagine a Hollywood Drift style coaster where we could pick the song. Also I doubt it would be a ride with a chainlift or slow incline due to all/most of Universals recent coasters contain a launch of some sort What I could also imagine is a cheetah-hunt level of intensity layout.
That would be huge step up for Universal Studios Florida in the future, if they replace F&F dark ride to a roller coaster, and bring back a Ghostbusters ride. No matter what if they happy or sad because of Rip Ride Rocket closure in 2025 after Epic Universe opens.
Okkk this probably the best prediction you have made I'm gonna need the animation of this..and the pov..call up immleaman footers and have him make this mock up .I'm good need this like nowww...💯💯💯💯😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My prediction is they are holding pat until Epic Universe opens and then the whole front section of universal will be getting a major face lift. I can see this, the Fast and Furious ride plus several other theater rides being on the chopping block and this area getting a much needed update.
A Mack Stryker coaster would be a major hit. It also makes since because of its size, ability to maneuver and now universal having a relationship with Mack
Maverick in Cedar Point only has 12 riders per train. And it's one of the best rides in the park. And The Beast at King's Island is on its 45th year. It really all depends on how many people ride it and if they are still making money on it.
Ah, something other than yet another launch coaster, the resort already has too many of them. Replacing the resort's ONLY big coaster without a launch with a launch coaster would be the worst thing that they could possibly do. The only and I mean ONLY exception that I'd be good with is something like F.L.Y., that's it, any other launch coaster and it's a terrible choice by default.
I was all in until I heard “4 trains”. That ain’t gonna cut it at universal. Gotta go back to the drawing board. Also- I have to think they want to keep the new coaster lower to the ground at the studios park. And a launch coaster allows for more sets of trains. As badass as that coaster sounds. Capacity is going to be the key thing here. It’s one reason they went with rock it in the first place- though they never reached their goal.
I was there over spring break and it seemed to be popular to me lots of people waited to ride i had heard the reasoning was they were loosing the company for the maintenance and running the ride
There could be 3 options with this ride for its replacement. All options keep the music 1. Geurstlauer eurofighter (keeping the vertical lift) 2. Intamin vertical LSM (this is the most likely option cause we know how much universal loves Intamin) 3. Mini b&m hyper (like Hollywood dream, just a different layout)
I bet Universal just does what Cedar Point did to Top Thrill, new track, smimilar but different layout, keep the music feature but with an updated soundtrack. Maybe a 90 degree vertical launch instead of the chain lift? More inversions, better pacing, etc.
We’re probably getting the fast and furious coaster like Hollywood. With the space open from rip ride and when they close supercharge they will have space . Hopefully they can use some of that back space since they might move some of those buildings back there to epic universe.
I believe Universal Studios Florida is gonna get alot of love after Epic Universe Opens! 1. My outside the box replacement for Hollywood Ripe Ride Rocket is a ground up RMC Hybrid Coaster but IMO this will be a Intamin or Mack! 2. Simpson Land will be removed and replaced after the IP license expires with Universal and IMO will be replaced with Pokémon Land 3. Fast and Furious will be replaced IMO
Voltron have just open last week at Europa-Park and for an interview Roland MACK says that Universal already told MACK RIDES that they are interested for a coaster similar to Voltron
They will keep the theme and on board audio. A mack extreme spinner is perfect choice: fits in similiar footprint, an intense ride to go in park that has none, that not only unquie to Florida but only 2 other of them worldwide. If they somehow made it better than ride to happiness they have the best coaster in the world. I think the deal with Mack was done ages ago. When they decided to change the 2nd attraction in dark universe to a coaster it was rumored they discussed with Mack about extreme spinner but then chose the more family version, i think the decision wasade then that it would be more suited to studios. They will probably close RRR staight after horror nights finshes.
As much as i loved this ride when i visited this park back in 2011. However, i rode it just a few years ago and...its time for this ride to go unfortunately. 😢
Too bad the new Ghostbusters movies aren't shattering box office records since a facade of the firehouse as the queue/station and a dark ride section with a launch would be almost as awesome as the Ecto themed trains.
@@williamhaynes7089 you know they restarted the franchise with a new movie in 2021 and another one that just came out this year, i don't think they are referring to the woman ghostbusters
After all the hype and newness dies out, most successful coasters have good operations. Low downtime. Easy on and off. Understandable "good to go" systems, hi throughput, ... All leading to healthy 30-40 min waits, but often taking half that time. And, get rid of jerking around and head banging for silly coaster features. Believe it or not, Hagrids is not even top two coaster at Universal in online review sites. Lots of 10/10, but some 1/10 for extended waits and then shut downs for remainder of day.
I'd say a B&M would be a good replacement for RRR. They seem to be much more reliable and durable, especially as you pointed out, it runs longer cuz of HHN.
I think to keep the studio feel, rip ride rockit should just be demolished and leave it at that. Universal doesn’t need a large coaster if there’s 2 other parks that have the space for it. It would be cool to see another indoor coaster like the mummy, with no screens. They had the opportunity to make something just as good as mummy with Gringotts but they dropped the ball with the heavy use of screens. RRR was cool when i was younger, but the older I get, the more I appreciate the nostalgia of USF when there wasn’t a large coaster in the view the second you walked in the park. I think universal should stick to the whole “ride the movies” messaging and leave the large coasters to their other parks.
I hear that Universal originally wanted B&M to build this coaster, but reached out to Maurer AG because B&M was too busy and wouldn't get it done fast enough. Is that true? Because if it is, that was incredibly stupid because with the success of Hollywood Dream at Universal Studios Japan, it would've been worth the wait to have them build a ride like that in Florida. Busch Gardens Williamsburg made the same mistake in 1992 when they hired Arrow Dynamics instead of B&M to build Drachen Fire.
Maybe they could finally do the Back To The Future Coaster that they’ve been wanting to do for a while. Or they could use the space to put Secret Life of Pets since Rocket is technically now located in Illumation land
this maurer shoulda been gone awhile ago. it has two cool elements.. otherwise its pretty bad. (IMO) we need a new compact coaster! a gerstlauer infinity, a mack or hell, this intamin trend that universal has seems great to me too lol
I definitely think that there is a possibly that Universal will turn HRRR into a ghostbusters ride maybe a dark ride. Also while this doesn’t have to do with HRRR, I think that the back area with the HHN tents, the Men in Black Ride, and the Fear Factor Stage, could be converted into a new Jurassic World themed land with the Jurassic Park land in Islands of Adventure being re-themed to Jurassic World maybe with the Jurassic World dark ride from Universal Studios Beijing replacing Skull Island Reign of Kong. Compared to the Jurassic World land at Islands of Adventure which would be themed to the Jurassic World Park itself, this new Jurassic World land would instead be themed to the Lockwood Manor and Big Rock National Park. In this new land there would be a new drop tower ride themed to the Lockwood Manor where riders will be chased by not only the black Indoraptor from the film but also the unused white indoraptor, in addition to the Manor’s dock and lighthouse from Fallen Kingdom replacing the world expo, where guests will be able to meet captured dinosaurs from Isla Nublar. In addition there would also be a new thrill coaster/dark ride that takes riders through Big Rock National Park where riders will encounter escaped dinosaurs living in the wild such as Allosaurus or Nasutoceratops.
I don’t get the hate for this ride. I love it. Universal is going to have extra space to build new rides and attractions once several of the back office and storage locations are moved to Epic Universe. I don’t believe this ride will or should be replaced for a long time.
FF would be a great theme for a big and fast coaster, the entrance can be next to the current FF ride, but please don't theme it for minions just because in that 'land'.
The most likely choice is that it will be a fast and furious coaster. This is also the biggest rumor right now. Plus We already know they are closing the fast and furious ride further in the park (thank god we all know that ride is horrible) so it won’t be weird like you said because they’re won’t be two fast and furious rides far from each other
The one big thing I see is even with a new coaster, Uni would not want to exceed the 200 ft mark just like Disney to avoid the FAA blinking red light. 🚨 Could they push the limit to 199'11"? Of course, but then let the good old is it a hyper discussion begin...haha
No, not here, it's a launch coaster, and the USO resort doesn't need another launch coaster, let alone one that replaces the LAST big coaster in the resort without a launch. It's as simple as that, launch coaster=bad addition for a HRRR replacement with the sole exception of something like F.L.Y., that's the only type of launch coaster that can get a pass. BGW is another park where it would be a bad choice because they also have a launch coaster problem (aka building too many launch coasters back-to-back).
Universal needed something new from day one. This coaster was plagued with so many delays and issues. Can't run in the rain cuz why? The electronic system is not waterproof. The coupling issues between the cars were founded out by universal since they took over maintenance, they led that fix into the yearly refurb at that time. The ride will never be smooth, due to the way the couplings hold the two cars together. It is just a very unpleasant ride. Hopefully they go with a B&M or Intamin, and don't skimp out b/c of the price tag.
adding on... your prediction is top notch! I'd want Intamin or B&M to handle this one, that would be the smart thing to do, anyhow. Thinking about it, B&M is known for their custom layouts for space. I know we have SeaWorld with Mako, but this could truly be fun for Universal! Your thoughts on when and what are spot on here. From the station to how fast they are known for turning over their construction. Fingers crossed!
I’ll be sad to see this coaster go even though I know it’s showing its age and has been extremely expensive for the park to operate over the years. I’ll be pretty upset if it closes before Universal at least does anything with the multiple dead/dying areas in both existing parks first. The huge defunct area between Men In Black and Diagon Alley come to mind, and Springfield too of course between the licensing deal coming to an end in just 4 years and the Simpsons ride itself showing its age worse than Rockit. You could argue that, other than the new Dreamworks area finally taking the place of KidZone, basically the whole right side of the park east of the river needs some new life breathed into it. I love MiB and don’t want to lose it but that area really feels liminal space-y these days. There’s also Lost Continent IoA-side where no plans are publicly confirmed to best of knowledge, plus attractions like Jurassic River Adventure that are still popular and relevant but actively falling apart ): I love Universal and will still choose it over Disney any day, but I’m bummed that so many areas are still neglected if not abandoned right now and it’s looking like more attraction cuts are on the horizon before most of that gets addressed anytime soon, with remaining attractions being underwhelming and unpopular (this is obv mostly referring to Studios where the newest 2-3 rides are widely disliked; IoA definitely needs some TLC in certain areas but its newest rides are among the strongest the parks have to offer). The dream for me at least would be a retrack for RRR with a better manufacturer. Bring Hollywood Dream over or rename it to “Rip Ride Remixed,” same gimmick with choosing your own ride music (which I will be really sad to lose when it goes if there’s not a stateside replacement), same placement in the park, but smoother experience built to last and more timeless theming (I think RRR’s current theming has some kitsch charm but lets not kid ourselves it felt dated even in 2009 lol). I don’t know if this would even remotely be on the table and it makes much more sense for Universal to choose a new project and theme entirely, but one can hope. And even then, clean up the more glaring dead zones first to keep the cost of admission worth it before closing more existing rides.
I really feel like shrek should have a lauch coaster( follow me on this, shrek is angry all the time and it is between velocicoaster and hulk type deal
I like rocket i will be unsarified if kt gets removed i would like a retrack so its less rough cause if the ride has new trans and track would be better also this ride a replacement for rocket would be expensive like 27M expensive
I love the other Universal roller coasters but this one just hurts my head and neck. I always think it's going to be different this time after not riding it for a few years I'll ride it again and I always regret it. It's just not smooth at all.

Back to the future roller coaster would be cool
I really hope thats the coaster they get.
What about build a ride similar to the Top Thrill 2 ride from Cedar Point. It got the track length it looks like.
FF would be a great theme for a big and fast coaster, the entrance can be next to the current FF ride, but please don't theme it for minions just because in that 'land'.
The most likely choice is that it will be a fast and furious coaster. This is also the biggest rumor right now. Plus We already know they are closing the fast and furious ride further in the park (thank god we all know that ride is horrible) so it won’t be weird like you said because they’re won’t be two fast and furious rides far from each other
The Mummy in Hollywood is the much better sister ride, that's less of a family coaster and IMO Orlando should implement the backwards track
Would be cool if they build a Florida version of the spinning Intamin they're building in Hollywood
I thought this was a recommendation channel, not a rumor channel, but I could be wrong.
This ride is extremely rough nowadays. I just ride it and the shaking and head hanging is Horrible.
Hulk is a perfect coaster. Rocket is dumb. So of course Hulk was retracted while this one will be scrapped.
Mack extreme spinner..rip ride spin with pick your track
If the Mack Hyper is at 205 feet wouldn't it be the second tallest in Florida?
The one big thing I see is even with a new coaster, Uni would not want to exceed the 200 ft mark just like Disney to avoid the FAA blinking red light. 🚨 Could they push the limit to 199'11"? Of course, but then let the good old is it a hyper discussion begin...haha
They need to go HUGE with this new coaster. Make it the best thrill coaster in the world, needs to spin.
Mack Extreme Spinner (to all parks).
@@AceAviations2 Have you ever ridden a Mack Extreme Spinner?
Great video. but please stop renaming the channel lol
If it's fast and furious, it's not having two attractions on different sides of the park. They're replacing the other one because it's terrible
Ghost busters or Jaws would be EPIC
i hope still open till december meetup.
Should make it a Ghostbusters themed coaster
It's a fun night ride
I really feel like shrek should have a lauch coaster( follow me on this, shrek is angry all the time and it is between velocicoaster and hulk type deal
check out th "Voltron" at Europa Park. This has a similar footprint to RRR and could be a great replacement for it.
It will be a Mack hyper coaster and be the tallest in Florida
I like rocket i will be unsarified if kt gets removed i would like a retrack so its less rough cause if the ride has new trans and track would be better also this ride a replacement for rocket would be expensive like 27M expensive
I love the other Universal roller coasters but this one just hurts my head and neck. I always think it's going to be different this time after not riding it for a few years I'll ride it again and I always regret it. It's just not smooth at all.
I agree, but I think Universal will go big with a Trex by RMC with themed parts. Wishful thinking huh lol
Everyone is worried about RockIt and Im over here wondering why E.T, F&F, Men in Black & Simpsons even exist still. Most of them are old, and F&F is just not Fast or Furious.
Please remove it that ride is so ruff
Then just don’t ride it
If they replace it now more people like me will buy a 4 park ticket instead of just Epic.
They gotta make space somewhere else I really like this ride it’s a classic
This ride was fun the first time it opened but its soooo outdated and so rough and they dont care about the music or music video anymore
