■ ROTATING OBSERVATION DECK:
Once in a lifetime experience riding a rotating observation deck also called Garden in the Sky. This observation deck soaring 55m above the ground. The observation tower cabins can ascend and descend and will rotate providing those 360-degree views of the 4.38 km2 Expo 2020 Dubai site. But, why is it called Garden in the Sky? Well, the upper floor of the attraction is planted with peltophorum inerme trees, also known as yellow flame trees - hence the name. You probably would have seen these trees around many of Dubai’s parks and landscapes. You can find the observation tower at Jubilee Park where you can also find dozens of food outlets, large scale art installations, the Jubilee stage and much more.
■ EXPO 2020 DUBAI:
It's a World Expo, currently hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite being postponed, organizers kept the name Expo 2020 for marketing and branding purposes. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris named Dubai as the host on 27 November 2013. The expo will have a theme called "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future". Each one is dedicated to one of the sub-themes of Expo 2020 - Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability. The Expo 2020 Dubai will be a global gathering of ideas, cultures, and shared values. These are significant events to forge partnerships, learn, grow and show the world a country’s potential. 192 international countries are participating and millions of people from all around the world will commute to Dubai to connect on ideas and shape a better future. The Dubai Expo 2020 is associated with a rise in the UAE's GDP, as predicted by the International Monetary Fund. The Expo 2020 was officially opened on 30 September 2021.
Ticket prices: Three types of passes can be booked: daily passes, monthly passes and seasonal passes. The daily pass is applicable for one day only, costing AED 95. The monthly pass offers unrestricted entry for 30 consecutive days and costs AED 195. The seasonal pass offers unlimited entry for the entire six months of the Expo and costs AED 495. Entry is free for children below the age of 18, students holding valid ID cards of recognized academic institutions, and visitors aged 60 and above. Tickets are also free for people of determination (disabled people), with 50% off being offered for one caretaker. Tickets went on sale worldwide from 18 July 2021 at the Expo's official website expo2020dubai.com.
