      Marco 1stgenTUNDRA I’m glad I could help! You’ll like that LS a hell of a lot more than that 4 cyl haha. Good luck with your swap, and if you need to know anything else, just let me know

    The 105 amp alternator is smaller in size. That might be the way to go.

      David Denman I was able to cut a little of the hood support out, and it fits like a glove under the stock hood now

    Hello. Enjoyed watching your videos. I have a question. How difficult was it to use ls1 camaro fans on the 4.3 radiator? What modifications did you have to do to make them fit on the radiator

    Hey man, swap is looking good! What flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, etc. did you use on the 6.0? Putting a t56/5.3 in my truck and would love some info!

    • @ReclaimedPerformance
      @ReclaimedPerformance  5 лет назад +1

      I used a monster clutch, flywheel and pressure plate that came with the trans I bought. My truck was a factory 5 speed, and the quick connect line from the clutch master cylinder popped right on the t56 slave cylinder

    Hey man it's Dan going to get ready to do my swap I have a 95 as s10 and I was wondering if you had any problems with the power steering pump pulley clearing the steering box and did you use the factory set up thank you much for the other videos very helpful

    • @ReclaimedPerformance
      @ReclaimedPerformance  5 лет назад

      Daniel Gonzalez thanks for the support! I didn’t have any clearance issues with mine, but I think there are a couple different pulley sizes

    I've been told an lsx will hook right up to a stock s10 5 speed. Can anyone confirm that?

    • @ReclaimedPerformance
      @ReclaimedPerformance  5 лет назад

      It will bolt up to the nv3500 that's behind a 4.3, but I think you would need a spacer for the flywheel. I was gonna go that route because I was originally looking for a 5.3, but then I found the 6.0, so I figured I better go with a stronger trans.

      Rodney Fosdick thanks man! I'm doing some editing on another video now, so I'll be putting up a new one soon. It's been a slow process haha. Thanks for the support though, and if you have any questions, whether I go over it on the video or not, just ask away!

      Meade's Garage thanks sir will do I'm not quite at a point right now where I can start a project do to traveling for work but on my off time when I'm back in town I'm gonna pick up one with a decent body that might need minor work and throw something in it and send it

    Only thing I see about that heater box is that it looks like you've completely blocked off the air passage hole through the fire wall. Good concept but idk if that will work or not when it comes time to use your heater fan

    • @ReclaimedPerformance
      @ReclaimedPerformance  6 лет назад +1

      vfl rockytop with the air passage hole being as wide as it is (appox 5" or so), it still has room for air to go through it, plus the top of the heater box angles out to allow some room for air flow too. It's still possible the heater may not blow as hard as stock, but that would be an acceptable trade-off for having the LS power!

      Meade's Garage yeah I have to agree with you on that

    where did you get your driveshaft made?

  • @spencerray8461

    I hope your swapping the rear end, most of those s10's came with 7.5 rear end....aka "junk", what you need to find are 2 rear ends out of a 98 or older ford explorer, if you get two you can get a shop to shorten your driver side axle tube, then take the shorter passenger side axle out of the other rear end, put it in the shortened driver side tube, then your rear end will be 56 inches wide"the factory s10 rear end width" instead of the 59 inch rear in the explorer, the explorers came with a 9 inch ford rear end, more than strong enough for that LS, and there pretty cheap to get, that's what I ended up doing when I put a 5.7 in my 96 ss s10

    • @ReclaimedPerformance
      @ReclaimedPerformance  6 лет назад

      Spencer Ray mine actually has the 8.5" 10 bolt, so I'll hold on to that as long as I can. If that happens to start giving me issues, then I plan on going the 8.8 route

      E. Quinlan thanks! I've been slacking on the video taking, but I'm still making progress... slowly. I'm going to be adding another progress video, and also an S10 hydroboost swap video soon. Thanks for the support!
