Didn't know what to expect, but I really enjoyed this and would like to have a go. The kit is extremely well priced and very well thought out, so apart from my own inertia I've no excuse!😄
    Cheers Tris!

I have actually been looking into possibly getting one of these for a future garden railway idea but I couldn't find any reviews for this, so thanks a lot for uploading this. The next hurdle is the railway!

I have been looking into battery powered garden railways for some time. Mainly because I'd want to make it very much temporary - it would not survive the combination of grandkids and Scottish weather! I can't believe I haven't stumbled across this one before, but I'm glad I now have. Saw it, liked it, bought it (and some rolling stock), and it arrived today. Cheers

I found these kits a few months back and I was so excited to find inexpensive options to build a large fleet of garden railway stock, but then realised that they don’t offer shipping to the US. Maybe they do now but either way I love how they look and can’t wait to eventually get some of them.

Bewitching little black cat in your film!! My way of having a garden railway on the cheap is to attend my local model railway club, which has both outdoor and indoor layouts from 5” gauge to N gauge.

Big oof on the 45mm gauge instead of 32, as the majority of other garden railways are the latter. Still, there are 45mm lines, mainly at heritage railways

Lovely job on the loco, and goes to show that garden railways don’t have to be vastly expensive. I wouldn’t be running on LGB track though. Yes it is good and strong, but crippling expensive and most of us run on 32mm gauge. 17:03

Hi Neal, great to see you covering larger scale models, I’ve been modelling in 16mm scale for many years, and contrary to popular belief, there are a number of inexpensive, easy to build models, such as the Phil Sharples Hudson that you have featured. I’m a big fan of PS Models, they are affordable and easy to build and paint. You may be interested to know that you can easily convert your PS Models loco to RC buy using a Loco Remote Mini. This is a small, wifi enabled device that connects to the batteries and motor allowing you to operate your loco from your Smart Phone or tablet. They’re very easy to install and use, practically plug n play. I’ve put them in about a dozen if my smaller battery electric loco’s and you can run them hands off, changing speed and direction as you wish. I you’ve been bitten by the large scale bug, I’d urge you to take a look at Boot Lane Works, PDF models and Bole laser craft, all of who make outline scale, battery electric narrow gauge locomotives.

I was able to find a brunch of LGB tracks for cheap on eBay, so this kit will make it much more economical to run a garden railway

    • @edscoble

@@OONeal they're automatically generated which is nowehere as good as actual closed captioning, if you turn on CC on this video and turn off the sound it's much easier to watch whether with your, I have to be glued to the captioning that pop up every word once it's spoken ruclips.net/video/k6eOF5DBe0Y/видео.html
