- In this episode you'll see we finished the garage by insualting and drywalling the 3 unfinished walls, and installing an OSB ceiling with R13 insulation above it. This is a huge deal where I live because it's often 10 to 30 degrees Farenheit in the daytime during winter here. The shop lights were rewired as well. I give you a fast recap of the metalwork done to date, and show you the progress now that the roof and A-pillars are basically completely finished. I also show you a fantastic new bodyworking longboard that anyone serious about getting their paint jobs nice should invest in, a "Linear Blocking Tool".
The next video "1971 Cutlass Ep 09 - New Rear Axle & Performance Suspension" will be released Friday March 1st at 5PM EST!

Project is moving along. Thanks for the update and looking forward to the next vid
Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm really excited about how the axle install came out.
First found you from shoes, but glad you're doing other things that inspires your and others.
I'm taking notes for my future home.
I like the car videos but I miss new cobbler videos. I am glad they are still up. I discovered them about six months ago. They encouraged me to thrift shoes and try some shoe work. I hope you make some again but I understand the interest in new areas.
I promise, I do have a couple Cobbling videos in the works! A new double boot review, and a review of a pair of John Lobb loafers I thrifted!
Great. I am looking forward to them. I set the notification bell.
Just found your channel and wow, you are very inspiring and enjoy the videos. I have a 72 and it's always one thing or another. Thanks for putting this content out here and keep up the great work!
Thank you for watching! Sorry for the slow reply.
great vid !!!
Thank you!
I was just wondering about the status of this project yesterday. Glad to see it moving along!
Yes, the garage drywall and insulation took quite a while. Figuring out the compressor wasn't easy either! When I first re-wired the lights, they would flicker on for a split second and then go off. I was sure I messed up the wiring. After 3 days of research, I posted a video on Reddit r/electrical group, and they said it was a bad wall switch. Who would have thought that the one part I DIDN'T touch, that worked before, was bad. Apparently it couldn't handle the load influx of the two extra lights I added?
Great work and progress Robert,
plastic padding brand of body filler is my goto, been using that since 1985, no pinholes good flex so it never cracks, crashed a car with that in, bent the hood over and it stayed put
did you try the copper weld thru primer? better for mig welding
No, but you're the second or 3rd person to mention it. I will definitely have to check it out! I hope not to need any more of it on this car if you know what I mean though.
❤ you are a beast! Amazing job and great content! Keep up the great job 👏 and can’t wait to see more. Luv me some Oldsmobile 😅
Thank you! There is a new Olds video that just came out (Episode 10)
