Fatter tyres are only for looks , for better grip, u could have asked for MRF Zappers, these guys have cheated you with Eurogrips. There are 2 options for tyres on the NS - 1. TVS Eurogrips (meant for NS160, paid upgrade to Zappers available) 2. MRF Zappers. (meant for NS200 as stock , its a necessity) In short the owner got duped due to lack of knowledge on dealership cunning tactics. This is not done b Bajaj, but many dealers like to up sell the tyres for profit, which is only possible with the NS160, but NS200 comes with MRFs from the factory, The dealers are swapping tyres actively, if u see this practice, DONT BUY FROM THAT DEALER, I have seen even TVS do this, Honda and Suzuki too. People dont understand that a fatter tyre doesnt naturally give u a better grip, a Skinner 130 MRF Zapper will outperform even a 150 tvs Eurogrip. Fatter tyres in the same lineup does offer better grip, but only if quality of compound is exactly same. For 200cc bike, u dont need more than 120 section tyres actually, but that wud look horribly skinny for the body. Fatter tyres like 150 section are useful when u have a 100+HP or 60+NM Torque. What mainly people see as grip is actually the compound composition that they get with expensive tyres like 150 Apollo H1

Cost 3200 for 130 80 R17 I am using zapper now for r15, Believe me you call it trash if you use revz once. It have better grip even on concrete roads and so soft that it absorb all jerks.
