Noticed how the german word "Atmen" sounds/looks like the sanskrit "Atman"? that means inner life principle, true self beyond ego... that even add a layer of reading the lyrics.
Love this band. So great and unique.
Atmen means "to breathe"
as 'tale of the misanthrop' already said, 'atmen' simply means 'breathing / to breathe' in german. There really is no additional layer or connection to Sanskrit there,
believe me. I like DWEF, but just ... no.
Indo european languages and sanskrit have a lot in common so it might be that the two words have common origins.

Arguably the best black metal I've heard, besides Carach Angren and Gorgoroth.
I've never been a fan of black metal, but I can really appreciate those bands that really stand out amongst the crowd. These are certainly up there!
