The problem is that stars and ageing superstars want to all team up, but at the same time they don’t want to take any pay cuts and demand maxs.
That leaves no money to fill the roster out, and you have a top heavy team with no depth, and ironically, no help for the same old ass stars.

A super team of old guys won't work. They don't have the stamina to justify the TOP level salaries they will consume from the salary cap. It doesn't matter how good a 40 year old is they can't keep up with someone who is slightly worse but 25-32. If they old guys want to play for chips they need to take salary cuts so their team can field younger talent along side them.
There is a reason all these teams of old guys fall apart in the 4th quarter. They are getting tired faster than teams with younger players.

The NBA hasn't been the same for at least 2 years -- since Steph Curry and Golden State won their last championship. The MVP is still Nikola Jokic and the top five players in the NBA -- Jokic, Luka, Giannis, SGA, and Embiid are all originally from outside the US. This is unprecedented for the NBA.

You know what makes this interesting is that you are getting the era or generation of kids who’s parents wouldn’t let or didn’t want them to play football so they put them in basketball or soccer instead. I think you are seeing that play out with the difference in young talent in the football as opposed to basketball.

The age of superteams might finally be over. Actually, when you think about it, the superteams dominated the 2010s, ending with the Lakers in 2020. Since then, all the champions were led by players who were in the team since BEFORE they were superstars.

In today's league, with the 3 ball being so powerful, team play and role players are more important than superstars. If you can shoot, and run offenses, you can win. superteams don't have that kind of power anymore over more "avg" player teams.

It would be a 'superteam' in name only. None of those guys play defense anymore, and besides, there's only one ball to go around. And what it all comes down to is age; it might be fun to watch them all together during the regular season, but there are plenty of teams who can take them down in short order in the postseason.
Their era is over, and they may as well admit. They've put on a lot of great shows but it's time to pass the torch.

I mean realistically, with the Warriors upcoming free agents, it’s very possible to sign LeBron once Chris Paul is off the books and if Klay either leaves or takes a lower contract. They can’t pay what the Lakers can but if LeBron leaves LA, it wouldn’t be for money. They then have the valuable draft picks and the young talent and moveable contracts in Podz, Kuminga, Moody, and Wiggins to be able to make a big trade. That could be KD sure, but if the Lakers lose LeBron, they have no reason not to blow it up and that wouldn’t be a bad haul for AD. If the 76ers can’t get PG or Jimmy, Embiid could very well be requesting a trade too. KD is great but he won’t be the only possible trade target who will be playing with Steph and LeBron in Paris, and he definitely won’t be the best fit who will be there. The odds are low but we could see the Warriors make a huge splash if they’re aggressive enough this off-season and the stars align for them. One last ring isn’t impossible

Not the most competitive era. 80s was that. Lakers Showtime, Celtics , The Bad Boy Pistons, early 76ers, Houston Rockets with Hakeem the Dream. And then a bunch of others : NY Knicks with Pat Ewing, Utah Jazz (Karl Malone , Stockton), San Antonio with the Admiral Robinson, early Golden State (Chris Mullin & Tim Hardaway). Thats the era of HoFers there bleeding just to get in the playofffs.

Critiques from just the first minute. Durant shouldnt be mentioned with LeBron & Curry. He is a bus rider and everyone else listed is a bus driver 8n the era intros. Next Jordan and Kobe shouldn't be mentioned together. Jordan could listed against Isaiah, but her really is peerless through his career; Kobe should be listed against Duncan. LeBron has a similar issue as Jordan, but it would be fair to list him against Kobe early and Steph late. But the video makes sense after that with Curry and Lebron ending the era together.
