I’d do this style in a heartbeat if I could find a stylist to do it! What a cute cut! I could actually have short hair yet, it doesn’t feel like a pixie that lays tight to the head. Styling is a breeze! Bravo Summer…bravo!🙌🏻
I love this style! I have been trying to communicate to my stylists, over many years and different stylists exactly your philosophy. Not precise, but messy cuts that looks "lived in". I hate it when you first get a cut how perfectly neat it looks. It screams, hey I just got my hair cut. And I love what you did under the ear, that sort of wedge you took out! Love that. I will definitely send this to my stylist.

This is beautiful!! I'm going to attempt this haircut on myself. I have long hair but because I'm 54 I think it's time to cut it. Also I have natural strawberry blonde hair (no gray yet, luckily lol) but I am going to dye it a "runway red" just for something different. I think a good point is to know WHEN TO STOP. it’s super easy to make your intended Bixie into a pixie if you get too textured.

I *LOVE* this cut ! 😍 I found a stylist in FL right after I moved here. I told her to do what she wants, the messier the better. I was so happy with the cut she gave me. My hair’s wavy so I didn’t need a blow dryer…. Screech…. Then she moved. 😱 I can’t find anyone in FL who can do this cut. 😢 My hair is a growing out, small pony, mess now. 😭

Hi Summer, I'm 60 with fine thin hair. My current cut is supposed ro be a short stacked bob but not very stacked. It's grown out and the bottom layer in the back is in that awkard almost mullet looking stage. However I think I might be able to get it to look like this. I wish you hadn't sped up the blow dry so I could get a better handle on what to do. Did you say fine hair may not need to blow dry? Also which product did you suggest at the end for fine hair?

Like you said you don't do razo haircutting, but that's what I would use all over
Razor is not my most preferred method but it does give such a great result for certain cuts!

I love this style. I've had longer hair most of my life. I'm in my 60s now and it's about shoulder length. I'm considering this cut but do most stylists know how to do this?
It's such a fun cut! I think a great way of finding a stylist is when you're out places running errands or out to eat...if you see someone with a similar cut to what you want, ask them who they go to!
In my experience, Ruth, THEY DO NOT. I had one stylist in my 20s who was fab, and I have yet to find anyone who knows how to razor cut. They tell me: "My scissors can do the same thing" - but it is NOWHERE CLOSE. (Thick & wavy hair like mine loves the texture from a razor.) That being said, this stylist KNOWS, and her advice to look for someone with the cut you desire and ask about their stylist is about the only way to go.
It really is hard to find an expert hair cutter. Frustrating.

Interesting cut. Every razor and texture cut on my hair makes it look frizzy and, well.....just plain rough. Maybe it's just me not used to having that look on myself.
I love the way this looks on the model head, but with my curly hair, I get really scared whenever hairstylists start doing anything choppy or random or anything that cuts into the layers. I wish I could get haircuts like this though. My hair is just too hard to control when it’s cut like this.
