You guys in Point Roberts seriously need a water taxi service that can take you across Boundary Bay to Blaine, bypassing the need to cross the border altogether until it re-opens.
Supposedly there have been some enterprising folks who have done just that with their private boats, but nothing official. There has been talk of establishing a ferry to Blaine.
@@wewd Point Roberts would be better off just being part of Canada! and one of the residents there is going to have this subject on the ballot on the American election in November to see if there is a strong enough desire among the 1300 residents to discuss joining Canada!
Literally no one is asking for a wall on the Canadian border lmao because Canada isn’t sending billions of dollars of drugs and human sex trafficking children by the thousands every year.
I currently live in Texas, I have Canadian citizenship, US citizenship (I was originally from S.E. Asia) and I hope some day I can visit Point Roberts.

The border closure is ridiculous. I've been trying to visit my 90 year old mother in Hamilton since March. Seriously, if masks and frequent hand washing works, then we should all be able to do that and keep the border open.

@@MrManfly All for having a referendum. It just seems like adding a tax burden of 20 - 40% won't be popular. Washington state has 0% income tax.

You already can visit Pt Rob. As a CDN, you can enter Canada. Then self-isolate for 2 weeks. Then go to Pt Rob with your US passport.
