San Remo是前往菲利普岛的必经之路，它位于墨尔本东南125公里。海边的渔港San Remo 与菲利普岛隔海相望，一座 640米的跨海大桥把它和菲利普岛相连在一起。
菲利普岛为San Remo提供了一个天然的屏障，使它成为一个理想的港口，渔民忙碌着下载捕获的海鲜，游客等待着上游船出海观光，岸边海鸥争食，空中鹈鹕飞翔，海滨风光这边独好。
鹈鹕吸引着许多游客，每天中午12点喂食鹈鹅的热闹场面更是把有趣的景象推向高潮，它们为San Remo 增加了有趣的风情。
