- This was a very bittersweet transition for me. I wouldn’t change my decision of deciding to leave my hometown. (uploading this 6 months later) It taught me everything about myself and the adult lifestyle. I know things about myself now that are the difference between me being happier and healthier than I was before I left. I was able to build such great habits and meet genuine people, along with beautiful experiences. Go to an HBCU if you’re thinking about college as a black woman or man, it’s life changing!

Ahhh congratulations !! This school is top on my list, I already toured and everything. The SAT and ACT is stressing me out though.... I retake them this summer.

I’m a new viewer and want to say congratulations (2mths late lol.) but seeing your reaction about right before leaving is completely understandable. I had a bit of nervousness when i left my family to start college too. But i think what helped me is that i’m a military brat. So i’m kinda used to moving around alot to new places i’ve never been before. I’m finished with college now and am now working in a city living alone with 3hrs minimum driving distance away from my closest family members.
So with all that being said, what’s your major(s) and minor(s)-if you have any minor(s)? And what career are hoping to get into when you finish?
i’m really really really glad you were able to understand where i was coming from. you’re blessed with the ability to adjust to new places i wish i had that. i’m home sick all the timeee. I am a psychology major no minor working to become a psychotherapist. Someone who works with mental health specifically black people

Hiii, if you don’t mind me asking what was your GPA, SAT & ACT score (if you took the test) and do you pay out of state tuition since you’re not from Florida 😂 Ik it’s a lot of questions im just really curious
It’s alrightttt girlll i had a 3.7 GPA i scored low on the SAT’s so i had to come for the summer & i do pay a high out of state tuition
