Hello Dena! I’m so glad you took the time to talk about the fundraiser. The basket idea was great! It’s always so nice when things come together and work the way you plan! Take care.❤
Hi Dena. I am so happy to see you feeling much better. Congratulations on your success with the Emporium. It looks like a wonderful event and I am sure a whole lot of folks look forward to it every year. I am excited to hear the total you all will be donating this year. Your beautiful stitching and your weight loss journey are so inspirational. I think I need to watch your videos every day! Your beach Christmas box and ornaments are beautiful. I can't wait to see them totally finished. Your friends are going to love them. Thank you so much for your continued sharing and inspiring. Great to see pretty Miss Cocoa. Take good care.
Crystal, thanks so much for the well wishes for our Emporium. We are excited to hear the final total, which we will have next Sunday when we present the check to the beneficiary. I so appreciate your kind words about my videos being inspiring. Makes me happy to hear that. Dena
Dena...your church's fundraiser sounds great...I enjoy watching you meet all your goals and the plans for next year...thank you for your sweet posting ❤
Thankful you and family are safe. And so glad you are feeling better. Congratulations on the success of your Emporium, it definitely does take a lot of behind the scenes work. Was many yrs since I was involved in things like that but it’s always rewarding. I don’t think I have anything close enough to finish in 3 months. Have fun stitching!❤
Cindy, thanks so much for the congrats for our Emporium success. Can't wait to find out how we did financially for our beneficiary. What have you been working on since your big finish? Dena
Julia, thanks so much for the congrats on our Emporium. I am also Glad Ronny and Gary are all better. Carolyn Zook had pneumonia! She is just now recovering. Dena
Glad that you are feeling better Dena but I’m sure you are exhausted after that Emporium - sounded like a really fun event and your baskets were beautiful. Well done, as always, on your stitching - fabulous progress. I love that you are planning for 2025 - so am I! I have about 10 things I hope to finish by the end of the year as I have lots of new starts planned! So good to see Cocoa - she just loves being with Fred and languishing all over the furniture - like our fur babies. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching.
Susan, yes I started my 3 months to the finish line today by having very little time to stitch, but so is life. LOL. Hope you have great success in finishing all 10 of your things by year's end. Dena
Thanks Jeannie! I am struggling to get stitching time this week, so I am barely making my number of stitches for my BINGO game, but I have started the rolling of the die and stitching on the 3 months to the finish line projects. I wish I could have gotten a better start, but life you know. Anyway, I have a stitching weekend planned this weekend with four other friends so that should be awesome! Dena
Loved seeing your stitching and plans! Love the idea of three months to the finish line. This year i committed to making socks for everyone in my family as this is our first Christmas together since before the Pandemic. So I need to make 9 pairs of socks. Slotted the first six in and the last three as the alternates. Here’s to hoping I can finish them all by Christmas.
Robin thanks so much for the congrats for the Emporium. Cocoa says thank you too for the kind words. Hope you are getting off to a great month of stitching! Dena
Dena - I loved hearing about how well your fundraiser did! I am positive that you will not only finish the 6 original pieces you've chosen, but you will also finish your 3 alternates in your 3 months to the finish line. Happy stitching! - TaMara
TaMara, I have finished the two of the original six of my 3 months to the finish line and now have also finished my first alternate. LOL. I am working today on another of my original six and think I might finish it tonight. Hoping to anyway. Thanks for your belief in me. Dena
So glad you’re feeling better Dena! Love your 3 months to a finish and it will be fun to follow your progress. You can do it! Thanks for sharing your stitching and stay well!
Sharon, thanks so much for visiting and for the well wishes! I have slotted these six into acrostics from 24HOCS and Magazine Monthly Challenge Group, so I will see how well I can make them fit for the Daily 30 group! Dena
Hello, so glad to catch up with you again. Great stitching plans. I love the 3 months to the finish line idea might look through my wips and do something like that. Happy stitching Patty
Patty, my 3 months to the finish line is going well. I have finished one of the six already and have pulled my first "alternate" into fill that slot. So enjoying the focus on these to get them finished. Dena
Hello Dena pleased that you are feeling better. I so enjoy seeing your videos and seeing your WIPS. May I say your hair looks great a little longer. Happy stitching.
The Emporium sounded wonderful and so glad it was a great success! I've arranged my 3 Months to the Finish Line and plan to stitch 3 days in a row on my call and then roll the dice again for the next project! Looking forward to some really great progress...and finishes too! Have fun with your stitching and prompts...you are a great encourager, and I've added several of the prompt games to my rotation as well. Have a great day and chat again soon! 🙂
Karla, I am so glad to see the progress you have made using the prompts and the 3 months to the finish line should prove a great help I think. I am hoping it does for me for sure. Dena
Hi Dena, So glad you are feeling better and the hurricane was not to bad for your area. Also that your fundraiser went well. Has always your stitching is lovely! I do like the idea for the next three months. But I will not be able to make it work this year because we will be traveling. Very excited about our trips. I also want to tell you about a new stitching planner I saw on the Proper Stitcher Flosstube. It is even nice when I received it. It is called Planner for the Cross Stitcher Soul. Have a good week!😊🪡
Glad the Emporium went well and Helene did not affect you much. It was a terrible storm. Love hearing your upcoming plans. I have no formal finish schedule, but I have 5 WIPs I want to finish by the end of the year and a Christmas present to do. Hopefully, their regular schedule will be enough to manage that.
Emjay, thanks so much for the well wishes for our Emporium. Sounds like you have your own schedule for completing your six by year's end. Wishing you enormous success in completing your goals. Dena
Hi Dena, it is always great watching your videos! Congratulations on a very successful emporium! Looking forward to our next zoom! Still working on how I'll move forward in 2025 with new starts and WIPs. More planning ahead! Lol Happy stitching! Lori
Lori, I am excited to hear what you decide on in the end. I think I am focusing on finishing my big epic pieces next year and get some of those long range projects finished. Dena
Congratulations on your Emporium event. I'm so glad it was not affected by Helane. Great finishes this video. I've been thinking about 2025 plans also. I didn't do very well with the Christmas ornaments this year, so I might try it again. You'll be on the list again to choose a Wipgo. We'll back to work, happy stitching.
I'm in Ellabell GA between Statesboro and Savannah and Helene was devastating here. I've had 5 days of no power, water or internet. Our EMC said this is the worst damage they have had in their 86 year history, there are trees and power poles in a tangled mess everywhere. I traveled to relative's home who got power back after a couple of days to get out the heat and check messages. Just spot watched your video to get a little guilty pleasure 😊 and saw you mentioned Helene. Southeast Georgia was hit hard and admittedly caught us off guard, it veered towards us at the last minute. I was concerned for my sister over on Columbus GA, it was initially headed right towards her. These storms are nothing to take for granted.
Melanie, I am so sorry to hear you were hit hard in Ellabell as well. Glad you could travel to a relative's home for a respite. We are praying for all of those affected by Helene. I am so flattered you grabbed a few minutes of my video as your guilty pleasure! Dena
Thanks Carole! We were blessed that the storm veered to the east of the projected pathway and we only got rain and not the heavy wind. Others were not so fortunate sadly. Dena
Hi Dena I love seeing your cross stitching it is always fine to see your progress. For 3 months to a finish is the following six I have picked and they are (1) Turkey by James Himsworth (dimensions plastic canvas) (2) Moose by James Himsworth (dimensions plastic canvas) (3) Ghost with cauldron by Brian Jackins (14 count oatmeal Aida ) (4) Spooky by Fayette Terlouw (14 count oatmeal Aida) (5) Haunted House by Fayette Terlouw (14 count oatmeal Aida) and (6) Delftware Delights Windmill by Zoe Miller (14 white Aida). These are all smalls. These were some of my new 40 starts this year and would like to finish them. Today is October 1st and I started Haunted house and enjoying it. My alternates one will be Honey Bear (Dimensions kit)and I am almost finished with the back stitching. My second might be Mittens by Brian Jackins and my third may be Witch and Ghost by Stoney creek. My alternates might change but that is what I have planned for now. I love seeing Cocoa with Fred. She is such a joy to watch and I hope Tommy gets good results from his procedure. I will say a prayer for you and him and Cocoa. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Pat, love your line up for 3 months to the finish line! Thanks for doing this with me. My first roll of the die was my Zephyr Hill Sampler so that was so fun to get back to stitching yesterday. Tommy had to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy because he keeps getting low iron and they wanted to rule out blood loss. He is great and had a clean report from both. In a couple of weeks he will swallow a camera just to check everything in the small intestines. But nothing serious here. Thanks for your prayers though, we so appreciate them. Dena
Happy you are out of isolation! Congrats on the Emporium! Looks like a blast! I’m so glad your area was spared from the hurricane. Do you know yet what you are thinking for your bday start this year?
If I don't start it before then, the second Royal Games (II). I want to stitch it so I can frame the two at the same time. I have chosen it for my Guild MAGIC project so I have to finish it by August, 2025 for that. If I start that one early, I haven't decided what I will start. What do you think you will pick for your start for my birthday? LOL. Dena
Karen, I am planning on rolling every day probably until I get really close to a finish, then I may just keep stitching another day on it to finish it. Dena
Dena. I hope everything is okay. Just checking in with all the bad weather that we have dealt with over the last week. Missing your videos and I hope all is well. Libby Armstrong
Libby, I am having some computer issues. I have a new iMac that I will be working on setting up with Apple on Tuesday, so hoping I can fix these delays. Dena
Hello there Kay! I am so glad you are back on flosstube again. I hope you are getting the cave back in order now that the painting/carpeting, etc is complete. Sounds like you also had a great time at your retreats. Your smalls were fantastic! Love how your friend finished them for you. Thanks for giving my video a view. Hope you are well and enjoying your stitching and knitting. Dena
If you are referencing the Dimensions Gold kit, I am using the kit fabric of 14 count. I think 16 count would be difficult to keep the details. If you are referencing the Christmas berries, I am using 18 count Aida and yes 16 count would work just fine, the berries would be just a bit larger. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 thank you so very much!! Some don't take the time to answer your question. You're always right on top of it! It's very refreshing.
Elaine, we fared well here in Gainesville, GA. The storm veered to the east of us and we didn't get the heavy winds that were expected. Our son is in Statesboro, GA and has been without power and water since the storm. Looks likely it will be restored on Thursday. Dena
In the Facebook group, Magazine Monthly Challenge, in the month of September (for back to school time) there is a BINGO game called ABCingo. It is called that because Carolyn Zook and Robyn Baker (who are the admins for Magazine Monthly Challenge) select one letter of the alphabet to omit and the remaining 25 letters you place randomly on a BINGO board. You pick which ones of your WIPs you feel have a word in the title, designer name or an object in the project that starts with the letters of the alphabet. you will out a listing of what you have paired with each letter and board your boards in the Facebook group. Each evening, Carolyn calls the letter for the next day and you stitch whichever one of your WIPs you identified for that letter on your list. The goal is 100 stitches or 1 hour. You take a starting photo and a finishing photo for each day and post in the group event. For each BINGO you get your name goes in a drawing and it you get a black out your name goes in another drawing for gift certificates. Dena
