Maranta is not a calathea, maranta is a maranta po. Hindi po lahat na nasa video is calathea. Marantaceae Family ( calathea, stromanthe, maranta, ctenanthe) 🙂

Weird, I work at local Flower shop, and when we have our season for house plants, we have most of those in our shop. Guess they're rare in some countries..
Greetings! Does any know if Calathea ‘Argentea’ is the same plant as the Calathea ‘Royal Standard’? I have seen it interchanged/called by both names simultaneously etcetc. Some references say that the Argentea has a white flower and the royal standard has a pink and I’ve seen it vice a versa? Does anybody definitely know if this is the same planter how to tell the difference? Thanks in advance to all . Stay safe and healthy!
Sorry for the word but you should fix the id of each plant😊 This can cause mistake if someone see its id and spread it to other. Again i am not against about you're video but you should watch it's id😁 Again maranta and calathea are on different genus😊
Love this list of calathea types, very helpful for me since I've recently discovered that I adore this genus of prayer plants! Just a friendly pointer, the "Calathea Maranta" listing is technically incorrect, as Calathea and Maranta are both different geneses and that particular variety was a Maranta Leoconeura.
Technically they're all "prayer plants," but by that logic you should include Did you know? In addition to maranta & calathea, the whole family is kind of "centered" around the Arrowroot group of plants, with ginger, galangal, turmeric, cardamom, Bird of Paradise, heliconia, banana, calathea, stromanthe, ctenanthe, and maranta! What did I forget lol. So I'm wondering if ALL these species might not prefer high-quality water? Everyone talks about maranta and calathea needing R/O or spring water; this may just help the brown tips on my bananas, BirdsOP's & ginger.. Btw, the Maranta is classified more as a rambling group of prayer plants. The most famous being Maranta kerrchoviana (green with small black spots), & Maranta leuconeura, of which there are several strains; M. leuconeura 'Lemon Lime', is one example. It's the one with no red in it, only green & black markings. I forgot the names of the others. The main difference is the "vining" habit of maranta versus the upright growth of Calathea/geoppertia. I've successfully grown both up moss poles, due to their aerial root production.
