i am so obsessed with tally hall. four singer-songwriters. every song is so different and creative. i love the layering as well. i follow them vigorously. they're just different. i also love how they hardly write any songs about relationships, which is easier in my eyes. It's all just...awesome blossom. I am pumped for good and evil.
They have a lot of love songs if you think about it. Greener, Just Apathy, The Trap, Cannibal, You And Me, You, Be Born (in a sense), Haiku and Hidden in the Sand. They just have good lyrics that aren’t as straight forward as normal love songs
J. Miguel The entire song is a Schizophrenia simulation. It's supposed to throw you off and make you listen again to try and understand the many voices played in the background. Rob is basically doing satanic-like rambling. And it's pretty good.
Yeah, Joe Hawley wrote it (the guy who starts singing). They have a lot of songs for the next album and will probably only release a third to half of them, but this one will almost certainly be on it, they've been playing this new song the longest (along with "Misery Fell").
2:49 I really wish the part rob was singing was more clear and I also wish it was included in the studio version. It sounds so sick, the studio version also has a bunch of deep whispering in the back but I've never been able to make it out
The only things I hear in these lyrics were, “Black & White, Black & White” and “Would not last at all”, and yes I wish the same thing. (Edit to today, I have found out another lyric, “Singing ?????”, i do not know how to hear that.)
It’s a shame you can’t really understand what robs saying during the bridge. The only thing I can really make out is i think at 2:52 he says the phrase “Lights on, Lights off”
It's crazy that after 3 years of me being a tally hall fan this video still goes underappreciated. It is tied with Rickshaw Stop for my favorite TTLO performance.

Andrew's part really shine in this one. You can actually hear his keyboard which is a nice change
I wish they kept the “turn the lights off” at the end of the song in the final recording of the song
Same, it gives it good closure in my opinion
Though I do kinda like the 3 chords at the end, it makes a good closure aswell
2:28 I just love Andrew and Joe looking at each other while Joe nods dances a little to his playing

J. Miguel The entire song is a Schizophrenia simulation. It's supposed to throw you off and make you listen again to try and understand the many voices played in the background. Rob is basically doing satanic-like rambling. And it's pretty good.
I believe he might be singing “Betchya (or ‘bet you’) got a bone to pick with me”? It’s a line from the alternate bridge.
Not Joe, Rob. Yellow tie, not red. It's jibber jabber. And "Bet you got a bone to pick with me" is also in the original track's bridge as well.

Why wasn't Rob credited with playing the megaphone on the album?
Because he doesn't on the album version

This is an earlier version of the song that was slower, the live versions from 2011 are faster because the song changed.
