For the Ansaam gold: In the beginning i was disappointed, it smelled like a vintage face powder called airspun. Now after 3 months i can say it has gotten so much better! Paulina, if you dont want your ansaam gold, You can definitely hand it to me! 😄😄
I just got Ansaam gold in the mail recently and I was really pleased with it. It's not overly complicated but lasts a long time on me. I think it's extremely overhyped for what it is, the value is fantastic and I get a lot of wear out of it. The hype is too much.

I ordered the Babycat, Delina and the Feve Deliceuse dupes a while ago even though I have the originals, the dupes save me money because I can supplement and layer the originals on top since I'm a heavy sprayer. And if I do travel, I'll either take the dupes or decant... The OG Musamam and the White Intense are both beautiful scents and packaging. The OG is a darker, wood, oud, amber scent. I really like them both... Waiting on my Lost in a Dream!...
My Khamrah came today and it’s so good!! It’s going to be my scent for the 2023 holiday season! Paulina, does Lost In A Dream have more or less musk as either Commodity Milk? I of course purchased Lost In A Dream immediately, but I can’t wear musk like the commodity ones 😭

About your Ansam Gold: proper maceration for a middle Eastern fragrance is about 2 months (min) untouched in a dark cool place, maybe you'd want to do that. Personally I didn't test that one cos I don't like Oriana so I cannot tell you if it's supposed to smell like that or not. That being said, there's one that I completely understand and that is cultural smell that's "engraved" in our minds. Like you, I also was born and raised in a different country and there's smells in my memories that most people in America, in my case, can't relate to. That doesn't make them less real to me! For example I had no exposure to certain cough syrups common in here, so I don't find those particular smells medicinal like the locals do. On the other hand I have certain smell associations that they don't: like Ylang-ylang reminding me of the most common wood polish product in my country and disliking it in my perfumes or not too long ago trying another TikTok favorite, Cherry Punk by Room 1015 and discovering that I hated it cos the cherry/leather combination to me smells like a disinfectant they used for horse stalls and kennels in my country 😂. It was so funny! Cos everybody was singing its prayers and I sprayed once and went "nononono!" and rushed to scrub it off.
I enjoy most of Paris Corner fragrance, the frenetic deliciouso is soooo good. So many viral scents just are not for my body chemistry. I so wanted to love Rare Tiffany but nope I can hardly smell it. I enjoy all of my delina dupes. Most of arabian perfumes are too manly for me but I have found some awesome fragrances. I have also learned to spray them then put in a dark place for a few months and then they are much better.

Same, Ansaam gold smells like an orange based cleaner, orange citrusy, oily waxy cleaner. Not like orange glow but like “ goo be gone”, the stuff that emulsifies sticky labels off of glass jars. It also reminds me of murphys oil soap. I’m gonna put it in the back of my closet for weeks or months to see if it gets better.
Agree with your thoughts on Ansaam gold. For now.. I have Reyna as well.. I put them side-by-side and agree completely with your analysis. I feel like the Reyna is much more vibrant and longer lasting. love the bottle on the other one, but way overhyped and just setting you up for disappointment. You have to really be careful with these middle eastern perfumes. Something to remember on Middle Eastern and perfumes is they do not macerate them. You have to sometimes wait up to six months, so I am holding onto my bottle of Assam gold.
Trust me when I tell you that Ansaam Gold will only get more pungent and sweeter with maceration... I left mine for 3 months and it smelled worse! I ended up throwing it in the trash because to my nose, I don't want to ever smell like bug spray meets laundry soap... not ever!

Just wondering if anyone can help me here , I got club de nuit imperial and while I absolutely love the dry down , unfortunately the opening repulses me , that green note is not to my liking at all and it stays for over an hour before I get that beautiful dry down .any recommendations for an alternative that omits that opening note would be greatly appreciated , I'm thinking swiss arabian 01 once I find it in back in stock anywhere 🙄🙂
I bought Ansaam Gold well before the social media hype kicked off (it was way cheaper back then), and it’s quite nice. Very sweet but nice. I wonder if they started cutting corners after the feeding frenzy started. I’m so glad I’m not having that medicinal experience. Must be incredibly disappointing.
I love ansaam gold 🥰🥰 it smells so fluffy and marshmellowy. I %recommend it. It smells almost the same as Oriana. So don’t always listen to reviews and test them yourselves. Ya’ll won’t be disappointed
Although LDBS is one of my favorite fragrances, I absolutely detest Oriana. I found Ansaam Gold to be a straight up Oriana dupe. There’s nothing LDBS about it.

Maybe try to leave for six months to macerate. If you bought it recently, you probably have a new batch. I own Ansaam Gold and Reyna and the only difference I feel is a slightly sweeter note in Reyna and the fact that Ansaam lasts longer. Nothing more

Congrats on the release of your third fragrance, my bottle is on the way! (Your description of comfort got me at a time when I needed something comforting to come my way.) Now, a lot of folks, myself included, enjoy Ansaam Gold, and there is nothing wrong with the quality (the packaging and sprayer are great, the fragrance performs well and is not caustic or horrifically unpleasant or otherwise defective). So while it may be overhyped and not everyone’s cup of tea, I think it’s going too far to call it “shite.” For me it’s a very cozy scent, it reminds me of a delicious detergent or fabric softener scent, or a skin scent (it does not overpower on my skin). I like to wear it with a sweatshirt on a cold day, and it’s an easy, pleasant reach.

I have tried Afnan's la fleur bouquet and i have to say for me it is not similar to Ex nihilo at all. It is very sweet and dense and oddly powdery which are not characteristics of Fleur Narcotique. Since you're saying that al hambra dupe is dense as well maybe i should try dossier version is it good?

It smelled like chemically fruity vitamins from my childhood but on the other hand I loved narcotic flower from the first spray. I purchased from the lattafa pride 2.0 affection love which is a very close dupe of kayali yum pistachio gelato and vintage radio which is a dupe for initio parfums Paragon. I love both of them from the first spray. I bought the small 20ml bottles for around 7 euro each. I let the reyna one to macerate in a dark corner. I did the same with the maison alhambra bitter peach dupe and now its so much better. Sending you lots of love 💕
Hi! im a new follower and have just been binging a few videos, I think it would be so interesting if you revisited scents you HATED (btw I live for your harsh criticisms! it always makes me laugh and love the honesty) Ive always heard you have to let a perfume sit alone for a few months to get its true potential and release all of its notes, I think it would be cool to see if this actually changes how the perfume comes off and if your opinion would even change or worsen. I love Musamam White Intense so much, I even love wearing it to bed, which is not the sort of thing I normally do. I only wish they had a refill one could purchase, since I don't love to keep bottles and that one is really bulky. Love how over the top it is, though.
You're so right, Fleur Narcotique's transparency makes it so special. Otherwise pretty common scent profile. Bummer that the dupe doesn't have this quality.

As far as dupes go, 2023 has been one of Zara's best years. They also seem to have strengthened the performance of their best offerings. I also wonder if they're using better ingredients than the middle eastern clones. Zara often contracts well known perfumers so it's possible their contracts guarantee that Zara has to use a certain grades of fragrance oils. The middle eastern houses are mainly using gas chromatography machines.
What most people don't get is there are many different levels to middle eastern fragrances so to say Zara uses better ingredients than middle eastern is a bit to generalising. It's unfortunate that it's mostly the dupe houses from middle east that are dominating on socials
@@aesinam Unless an organization like Consumer Reports or a rich collector pays for a chemical analysis of fragrances from the middle east, major designer and niche houses and Zara, we might never really know what's in these concoctions.
I got Paris Corner Rifaaqat off of Amazon and while it smells really nice I used up 1/4 of it already in less than a week and it’s because it has NO longevity whatsoever. Maybe I got a bad batch or a fake? I’m not an over sprayer but something doesn’t seem right with this compared to other Paris Corner perfumes.

I didn't like the dupe for Babycat, very sharp and polarising, it that is what OG is I can't understand the hype. Also I hated the dupe from Orientica for Delina, it was suffocating me and the OG didn't so another disappointment :(, same with Narcotic Flower, smells like grandma, I don't love white flowers and that was one of those I really hate

Wow! How weird is the world😅. I love so much Narcotic Flowers by MA ❤and I could say it is the BEST dupe of FN from Ex Nihilo because I have a decant of that one. To me isn’t dense as you said, in fact, it’s airy, delicate, freshness it also gives me a cooling effect and to me it’s addictive like I’ll wanna keep smelling all the time. I have also La Fleur Bouquet by Afnan it’s more similar to Armany My Way nothing similar to FN. Now I can see fragrances are pretty subjective as colors. I prefer Narcotic Flowers by MA way better and for be more as affordable one
Frenetic Delicieuse is so dam good! After macerating it gets even more potent. I have 2 BK Bottles, that’s how I fell head over hills for this fragrance❤❤❤❤❤

Maybe try to leave for six months to macerate. If you bought it recently, you probably have a new batch. I own Ansaam Gold and Reyna and the only difference I feel is a slightly sweeter note in Reyna and the fact that Ansaam lasts longer. Nothing more

Perhaps the Narcotic Flower is closer to Fleur Narcotique Extrait. I've never smelled the extrait version so I can't say if it's denser or not.

Congrats on the release of your third fragrance, my bottle is on the way! (Your description of comfort got me at a time when I needed something comforting to come my way.)
Now, a lot of folks, myself included, enjoy Ansaam Gold, and there is nothing wrong with the quality (the packaging and sprayer are great, the fragrance performs well and is not caustic or horrifically unpleasant or otherwise defective). So while it may be overhyped and not everyone’s cup of tea, I think it’s going too far to call it “shite.” For me it’s a very cozy scent, it reminds me of a delicious detergent or fabric softener scent, or a skin scent (it does not overpower on my skin). I like to wear it with a sweatshirt on a cold day, and it’s an easy, pleasant reach.

Narcotic Flower Edition Rouge from Maison Alhambra is much more similar to Fleur Narcotique than the simple Narcotic Flower.

I have tried Afnan's la fleur bouquet and i have to say for me it is not similar to Ex nihilo at all. It is very sweet and dense and oddly powdery which are not characteristics of Fleur Narcotique.
Since you're saying that al hambra dupe is dense as well maybe i should try dossier version is it good?

I purchased from the lattafa pride 2.0 affection love which is a very close dupe of kayali yum pistachio gelato and vintage radio which is a dupe for initio parfums Paragon. I love both of them from the first spray. I bought the small 20ml bottles for around 7 euro each. I let the reyna one to macerate in a dark corner. I did the same with the maison alhambra bitter peach dupe and now its so much better. Sending you lots of love 💕

I love Musamam White Intense so much, I even love wearing it to bed, which is not the sort of thing I normally do. I only wish they had a refill one could purchase, since I don't love to keep bottles and that one is really bulky. Love how over the top it is, though.
Perfumes are really subjective, l love Narcotic Flower so much that l have a backup bottle.

You're so right, Fleur Narcotique's transparency makes it so special. Otherwise pretty common scent profile. Bummer that the dupe doesn't have this quality.

As far as dupes go, 2023 has been one of Zara's best years. They also seem to have strengthened the performance of their best offerings. I also wonder if they're using better ingredients than the middle eastern clones. Zara often contracts well known perfumers so it's possible their contracts guarantee that Zara has to use a certain grades of fragrance oils. The middle eastern houses are mainly using gas chromatography machines.
What most people don't get is there are many different levels to middle eastern fragrances so to say Zara uses better ingredients than middle eastern is a bit to generalising. It's unfortunate that it's mostly the dupe houses from middle east that are dominating on socials
@@aesinam Unless an organization like Consumer Reports or a rich collector pays for a chemical analysis of fragrances from the middle east, major designer and niche houses and Zara, we might never really know what's in these concoctions.
Nope! Middle Eastern perfumes are better quality perfumes than Zara. Zara is no match.
I got Paris Corner Rifaaqat off of Amazon and while it smells really nice I used up 1/4 of it already in less than a week and it’s because it has NO longevity whatsoever. Maybe I got a bad batch or a fake? I’m not an over sprayer but something doesn’t seem right with this compared to other Paris Corner perfumes.

I agree about ansam gold. Mine has sat almost 6 months and I still don’t like it. I love Love Don’t be Shy and Oriana is ok but Ansam is so soapy and has a weird scent to it to me, sort of a scent that sticks in my throat..:if that makes sense.

I didn't like the dupe for Babycat, very sharp and polarising, it that is what OG is I can't understand the hype. Also I hated the dupe from Orientica for Delina, it was suffocating me and the OG didn't so another disappointment :(, same with Narcotic Flower, smells like grandma, I don't love white flowers and that was one of those I really hate
I didn't like Rifaaqat either. It was nauseating to me. Extremely sharp, too much pepper and incense and not very feminine. I managed to sell it, though
Wow! How weird is the world😅. I love so much Narcotic Flowers by MA ❤and I could say it is the BEST dupe of FN from Ex Nihilo because I have a decant of that one. To me isn’t dense as you said, in fact, it’s airy, delicate, freshness it also gives me a cooling effect and to me it’s addictive like I’ll wanna keep smelling all the time. I have also La Fleur Bouquet by Afnan it’s more similar to Armany My Way nothing similar to FN. Now I can see fragrances are pretty subjective as colors. I prefer Narcotic Flowers by MA way better and for be more as affordable one
