Mass Effect 3 was the only game in the series where I really felt like having only two squadmates per mission _really_ held it back. Almost every mission has a squad mate that is literally required, and or strongly recommended to take. The mission on Thessia is an example of both in one. You are forced to take Liara, and you are robbing yourself of an experience if you don't take Javik. Which means I have 5 people I'll never really get to see on Thessia.
Yeah it sucks in terms of Javik cause there's actually unique dialogue if you pick him up *after* Thessia. (For example Shepard is more desperate to find anything prothean related that could help)
Bit controversial but I actually don't like taking Javik on Thessia. It makes half the things Liara says make her look like a moron. Like when she says the beacon is reacting to the cipher Shephard has and Javik is stood right there going 'or it could be the Prothean'. I know he got added later on as dlc so they probably couldn't get the voice actors back for just that but it would have been nice for Liara's dialogue to change when he's there as well.
“Garrus is our boy” That made me smile lol I cannot wait to see the videos you make as we get more info on the new game, and then when it comes out! Ah!
New mass effect game A tailtale game, but you play as Garus solving a few mysteries and crimes with that C-sect Turian you meet near your starting point in the citadel.
I always try to pair up members most relevant to the mission . then in a separate play threw ill take javik or the worst member for the mission to hear the dialogue difference . i love the diversity of this entire series .
I cannot imagine a single post-Palaven ME3 mission without Garrus. He's picked automatically and then I just have to decide who's going to be the third wheel.
Garus is my favorite squadmate and he reminds me of many of my real life friends. The camaraderie, showboating, and even the stuff about firearms is dead on accurate. It works on an even higher level for me as I only use male Shepherd. I have a very close friend that acts just like Garus. I have been a wingman for him before. We both are very much into competitive shooting and I even stopped him from scaring his wife away when they first met. Just like Garus my buddy met his girl at a bar and the first thing out of his mouth was how he built a brand new AR-10 and how he could peg anything in that bar from 1,000 meters away...not something most girls want to hear when they first meet you. "Oh great, I just met a freaking psychopath.." is what she was thinking when they first met. She was on her way to excusing herself before I stepped in. Just like Shepherd, I saved him and that was 5 years ago. They are happily married today and his wife is good friends with my fiancee. Just like I helped them, they in turn helped me...so yeah, life imitates art.
Yep, I always have Garrus on all of these missions from the short investigate Cerberus presence mission all the way to curing the genophage, Garrus is the absolute best

Every time I see the cutscene of Lieutenant Victus about to fall in the pit I'm always thinking why doesn't Shepherd use their damn biotics to save him? A simple lift would work. I realize not all versions of Shepherd are biotic but mine usually is. And that brings me to another thing. I wish there were more action and/or dialogue that acknowledges the class you are. The only ones I can recall are in 3. The conversation with Liara in Shepherd's cabin about preserving information for the future in case they fail. And there's the final confrontation with your clone in the Citadel DLC. Also lots of cutscenes default to Shepherd using an Avenger assault rifle regardless of weather or not you actually use assault rifles let alone that one specifically.
Yeah the thing that always bothered me with ME is the Avenger as the default assault rifle mostly held by people in cutscenes. The Avenger is the standard human assault rifle while the Phaeston assault rifle is the turian's. I wish there was more weapon diversity in ME for NPCs. No offense to the Avenger rifle it has a cool design but it gets boring real fast seeing the same gun over and over again.
I did Garrus and Javik for this one and it was a little more grim than this, considering Javik has been through the ringer so his experience rings true....
To be honest I feel like Javik is the better accompaniment to Garrus for these missions. James' insight is rarely all that interesting, whereas Javik is always taking the opportunity to reflect on the cultural differences between his own people and the people he's dealing with. And Garrus ends up saying more as a result too, because Javik thinks about what he's saying in response, unlike Vega. I don't dislike James--I think he's cute and funny--but he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer and frequently his banter is pretty boring next to most others.

Why does one need Garrus for the Turian missions? That's a tough one. Liara and Miranda basically bring back sheperd..
Tali is there for all trilogy as well and is just as vital and loyal as garrus
Wrex is as good a character as garrus but sadly not a sqdmate in 2 and 3 and
Not a romnce option like garrus for femshep.
Hey I have a joke for you
Why won’t the Hannar stand down
Because it’s a big stupid jellyfish
I thought Garrus was cancelled because he’s a cop?
Nobody is saying that 🙄
If there Is something i Always hated about the Mass effect serie Is the squad limitations, having only two companions pro Mission feels a waste take me for example, so many companions but many Will baerly see outside the normandy and Is sutch a shame since many of them have interesting or funny things to Say (Jacob excluded obiusly)
I really Hope that in the next chapter the Number of companions Will be higher now that there Is the technology to handle more enemyes and friendlies whitout making a frame rate messo mixed Whit Chaos
Garrus is my most ignored squad member of Mass Effect.... he's pretty useless outside of achievement hunting for overloading shields
imagine having this dumb of a take. garrus can literally kill everything by himself if you know what you're doing, which you obviously do not.
@@skyhawkslcb18 I do know what I'm doing and when I have better (and more tolerable) options than Garrus around, then I'm not going to use him
@@fredcasdensworld save it for someone who cares i guess
@@skyhawkslcb18 Clearly you cared

Why does one need Garrus for the Turian missions? That's a tough one. However, I'll take a guess and say that since Palaven is the Turian homeworld, and given the fact Garrus is a Turian soldier, it may behoove one to have him on their squad when going to Palaven which is under attack by the Reapers. ;)
still shame no krogan team member or selarian, baterian, drell
Maybe I will sound racist but.....Turians looks all same
Not true. They have somewhat different face paints 😂
@@kamillal4566 LOL
Take Garrus and...Vega/Liara
1st😂🤣
