I was at this concert. Billy announced that they were shooting a video for mtv at the end of the concert if anyone wanted to stay. Like anyone left after he said that. I can't remember how many times they did this song in a row to shoot the video. But trust me we didn't care. Couldn't get enough. The crowd wanted more even after that. It was a bad ass concert from Billy idol and so glad I was able to be there

Billy Idol, My brother just died yesterday. Mony Mony was one of his favorite songs, particularly to dance to. Thank you for making music that my brother enjoyed.
My dad passed away yesterday and now I'm making a playlist with all the songs he loved and I remember him by. This is one of them. Thank you dad for showing me the greatest artists of all times. Loved, missed and never forgotten 🤘🔥❤👃
I think this is the strongest line-up Billy ever had. Steve on guitar, Kenny on bass, Judy on keys and Thommy on drums. Musically, visually, and sonically this band had it all.
The most iconic recording of this 1980’s version of “Mony! Mony!”. In my opinion, Billy Idols’ version is the definitive version of this 1968 classic. It’s a great rock music 🎶 single performed by a legendary international ROCKER!!!!!🎸🎸🎸🎸
saw him last month at a corporate gig. Unlike all the other bands I have seen that do these, he played his ass off, so did Steve and all the rest. Was great! Thanks!

I disagree. For me, the best (popular) music of the 20th century was made in the 60s and 70s. The best musicians of any time is completely subjective. I really _really_ disliked the 80s (music, film, fashion, politics, culture) but thought that the best music of the decade came out during 1980 to 1983. For the rest of the decade, my favourite artists were underground/indie. However, I do agree with your _"Billy Idol FOREVER"_ comment! I thought that he was one of the few mainstream artists in the 80s (ones having hits) who made me smile.
Any time I see Steve Stevens I instantly hear his name in my head like it was being said by a ring announcer. "And introducing STEEEVVVVE STEVEEEEEEEEENNNNSSS!" I have no idea why, I just know that he rocks.

One of the Best of the Best ROCK song ever Make it, The Great Billy Idol and the Amazing song: Mony Mony!!!! ( live)... simply Wonderful!!!!! THIS IS A GREAT COVER!!!!!!!!!
Digan algo!!
Mr. Peepers, I am Agree with You, But With ALL respect, not all songs are The best of the best in ALL the World!!! but Do You Know, is a Simple FEELING!!!! when do You like something, Maybe for You is the BEST!!!! but some time is only for You, in this are... Simples Words.......Any Way but a simple cover sometime are more greattes than the original.
Heard the studio version a million times and never really liked this song but I heard this version on the radio last week and can't stop listening to it. Fucking amazing!
I've loved this song forever. I'm 41 now. I never came across this video til recent. One of his best ever. At the end that look on his face says "Yeah I'm a bad ass and I know it!"
Wow! This was on MTV playing and the radio constantly I think around October or November 1987. I just went to his show tour last Sunday; Billy knows how to energize the crowd. Mony Mony was the loudest excitement, way more than Rebel Yell and White Wedding. Mony Mony got the crowd wild 🤣
You know what I love most about this music is it has the ability to COMPLETELY take you away from your problems and worries! And not just for some if the song ,but all of it!! Every second of it, visually and viserally ... Eg right now- i been arguing with a certain someone who is in the room right near me, and this music every SECOND of it takes my mind off the situation!!/ that's how music should be! Love u idol!
2024...and this Song still rocks !! ❤🌏
It will rock for eternity

I first rocked with Tommy James and the Shondells, playing this at a concert in Detroit, summer of 1969..this was #1 hit.thanks Billy I.
Billy and Tommy knew each other and had played together
Billy Idol,
My brother just died yesterday. Mony Mony was one of his favorite songs, particularly to dance to. Thank you for making music that my brother enjoyed.
soccer, sorry to hear about ur loss. Ur brother had a good ear for talent.
Only one to play it for him, LOUD, any other way just would not be right!
Maybe enjoy the best band's in heaven

Soccerholden So sorry to hear about your brother. Back in the day that song got everyone dancing. He had lived a great era in music.

There is nothing better in the world than seeing these rock legends having so much fun.
Truth
i can think of one :)
No autotune just pure talent.
I was lucky enough to see Billy twice live. Man is he ever the showman. He was absolutely incredible, and still is.
Saw them in 1979 when they were first starting out, Steve Stevens was crazy on that guitar! Billy and Steve were awesome!!
I think this is the strongest line-up Billy ever had. Steve on guitar, Kenny on bass, Judy on keys and Thommy on drums. Musically, visually, and sonically this band had it all.
Pure magic 69 yrs old can still rock to this legend xx
Susie Davis on keys, Judi was before her
@@paulcowan8023 yes Susie Davis played Keys and did Back up vocals for Belinda Carlisle on Belinda Live during the Good Heavens tour 88-89.;
Steve Stevens is BADASSERY!!

The golden age of the music it's still alive!!!
You know why? Because I won’t let it die.
Happy 67th birthday Billy love and best wishes from Ireland

I'm so thankful that Idol re-released this cover so I could hear it in the late '80s. This concert version slaps!
The energy in this live version is so intoxicating.
Legend Forever Mr. Billy Idol!!!...😜🤘🤘💯💯
This is what happens when an artist takes a cover and makes it his own. So glad I was teen in the 80's!

Best version ever - totally wipes the floor with his studio version and the original too. That keyboard player is hot as f@#k too !
The '80s... rock's golden age - and NOTHING to compare with it today.
It was written and done in the late 60s originally by Tommy James and 4:16 the Shondells
sad fact unfortunately music today lacks charisma
Any time I see Steve Stevens I instantly hear his name in my head like it was being said by a ring announcer. "And introducing STEEEVVVVE STEVEEEEEEEEENNNNSSS!" I have no idea why, I just know that he rocks.
this song is amazing 👍🏻
This song makes me feel instantly happy. Saw Billy in '90 and he put on a fantastic show!! His band was SO good.
I love this song 🎵 ❤️, it takes me back to my youth and I'm loving it. I'm blessed to have grown up with amazing music 🎶 🎵
I was there in Florida when this was filmed!!! Billy was GREAT!!!
STEVE ROCKED IT TOO!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This version is rarely played on the radio, I find it the better version as it rocks harder than the studio version.
It's the opposite here, I'm much more likely to hear this live version than the studio version!
Both are amazing
Billy Idol rocked my world as a teen
Me too!

He was such a hottie too!
Because of him when I was between the ages of 6 and 14 my type was blonde hair and blue eyes.

The backup vocals on this song are so simple but excellent. The performance and mixing of the different parts is really great for such a punchy and powerful song. It's like a sound chariot that Billy Idol is piloting. Pretty awesome
The 80s had the best music ever never gets boring
Mony Mony explosive and hard to the core. Thanks Billy Idol
Saw Billy Idol live at The Cow Palace in San Francisco on May 11th, 1987 with The Cult as opening band.....BEST DAMN CONCERT OF MY LIFE!! So glad to have been a teenager in the 80's!!

The cult s great band!
This is the energy we need in 2021.
Look at how easily he sings. Listen to the perfect rhythm they are all putting together. Look at the show they're putting. Great piece of work.
Many of the other gigs of the time(zz top) ect where all lip synced , billy was live xx
Absolutely brilliant, been a big fan of his for years, this is my favourite 😍

A great interpretation of a classic rock theme, his band really loves and excellent. Thank you for raising a great singer in concert. Cheers
This is truly one the best live performances of a song. The combination of Billy Idol-Steve Stevens is unbeatable in era of 1980s' punk.
Punk rock😎
Ummm, this is so not Punk Rock. About the same equivalence of calling Cyndi Lauper a Punk Rocker.80's Pop Rock yea, but definately not Punk Rock

One of the Best of the Best ROCK song ever Make it, The Great Billy Idol and the Amazing song: Mony Mony!!!! ( live)... simply Wonderful!!!!! THIS IS A GREAT COVER!!!!!!!!!
Digan algo!!
***** BTW, this is a cover of Tommy James. Soooo...... ya

This song gets better every listen, and I've been listening to it since it came out
Totally awesome 👌
God I love this song. Both original and this cover by billy
This version of Mony Mony flat out kicks ass. Including Billy Idol Rebel Yell Live Official Music Video!
Paul GR thanx bro..
