@@Chris-wm4th Not exactly--many people THINK they have perfect pitch, but few do. Summarizing something I found supporting this: Absolute pitch (AP), often called perfect pitch, is a rare ability of a person to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone. AP may be demonstrated using linguistic labeling ("naming" a note), associating mental imagery with the note, or sensorimotor responses. For example, an AP possessor can accurately reproduce a heard tone on a musical instrument without "hunting" for the correct pitch. The frequency of AP in the general population is not known. A proportion of 1 in 10,000 is widely reported, but not supported by evidence;[ a 2019 review indicated a prevalence of at least 4% amongst music students.

He was totally true to his own aesthetic. And to me, he is also a master producer. Autotune should be destroyed. It would weed a lot of "artists" out of the music industry includingRUclips singers who post videos of "amazing" vocal arrangements that sound robotic they are so over produced. . Michael was a pitch prefect singer.
@@jcee6886I think it has its place. Most of the time nowadays, if you can hear the autotune, (on a professionally done song) it’s more than likely an effect chosen by the producer. I agree though that plenty of artists use it too much.

One thing I really am baffled about is how no one, at least I haven't heard anyone, is talking about his style of singing specifically relating to crying. It does sound as if he is crying and singing at the same time. Those "hiccups" and the screeching, vibrating, and almost sobbing sounds he makes are really relatable to crying. So when he was a kid, he was singing without those characteristics, but as he grew, it became more and more pronounced. It is almost as if his child persona got trapped in the older body and cried, more and more, as time went by.
Michael Jackson is one of the few singers with perfect pitch, a rarity.
Even more so when he was a child
