One of my favorite parts of this trailer is how it made Namor feel like a force of nature
I know a lot of people don't think of him as such a big character but honestly in the comics he was one of the toughest and most interesting character in marvel
And im obsessed with Namor's Mayan headset, it's a masterpiece

Another detail that hasn't been brought up since the first trailer is that the Atlanteans only have blue skin when they come out of the water. They have regular human colored skin underwater and Namor is the only one to keep the human skin color when he comes out of the water

I don't know if I've been missing this being pointed out but the Maya had a very spiritual belief of underwater caverns or Cenotes. They believed they were connected with the spiritual world, which is why I'm stoked that this is what they're doing with Namor.
I love that you used "Maya" correctly! Most people use "Mayan" to refer to anything related to that people or culture, even though it's only for the language.

@@IrishCollegeGirl there's something like 28 different surviving "Mayan" dialects, however, they are called "Ma'ya" because the land was called "Ma’ya’ab", to themselves, they would've referred to themselves based on their city-state region (like Greeks or other ancient cultures may have). What they're doing in this film is a fusion of both Mayan and Nahua influences, since Tlalocan would be derived from Tlaloc, an Aztec god of water. Therefore, "Realm of Tlaloc".

Yes I'd like to see how they address the Heart Shaped Herb since Killmonger had them all destroyed. Synthetically creating it sounds like a Shuri move 🙂I do believe there will be an extreme faction led by Attuma, but there might be an extreme faction in Wakanda. A city that can raise a force field around it like in Avengers: Infinity War you would think could protect itself from a flood. Maybe someone drops/disables the field. Looking forward to this movie!
It’s a really cheap way out, but maybe there’s also something like a Wakandan seed vault and only a few people super “in the know” would know where the herb is located within that.
Baring in Mind there is a MAJOR RIVER Right Next to The Golden City... and the Force Field Extended Past The Golden City.. You see the Major River in i think The First Apperence of Wakanda in the MCU?

Shuri may have scanned the plant's genetic structure after they managed to smuggle a herb out of the temple before it was utterly torched.
Yeah i love the idea about Nakias suit, what i think is Namor realize that Wakanda is not an enemy and towards the end Namor will provide a refuge for the Wakandan and make a bond with them maybe thats why the color of nakias suit is a bit blue and green.. it symbolize the connection from the sea to the land.
I hope not... Wakanda and Atlantis are enemies, always have been, always will be

I had an interesting thought. What if Namor was dusted during the snap? That could very easily explain why his people, or some more warlike faction of them, would cause trouble and tensions between them and the surface world? Maybe that's what the battle on the ship is? That Wakanda had to put down some trouble faction within the atlanteans but once he came back, Namor felt like he had to take revenge for that? Either way, just the idea that Namor was dusted and brought back 5 years later has some really interesting consequences for the MCU world and is worth considering, I think.
There's also some parts that I feel like could actually be "sneaky CGI" to hide some things that will be different in the movie, like the Panther mask being carried at the beginning of the trailer and the shot of Namor getting ready to attack the window with Ramona and Riri behind it.
maybe Namor was dusted, and while he was gone, Attuma was in charge and he sort caused trouble, so when Namor came back and reclaimed the throne or something, he felt pressured by attuma who might also be jealous of him? idk
Namor wouldn't be dusted because he's in a different realm like the people of Talo.

I want to see M'Baku in a suit, maybe not a panther suit, but maybe a gorilla one Shuri makes for him?
Yes, I love that they use panther features in their suits, and the way M'Baku beats his chest would make a gorilla vibranium suit that much more emblematic of his fierceness as a warrior. The only thing is that the Panther suit isn't based on any earthly animal, but rather is based on "Bast" who is their god, so I can't imagine them deviating from their deity's influence to make suits that reflect other creatures.

I think that Namor was captured on purpose by M'baku's tribe and he decided not to kill Namor because of his fear of a greater war but the Shuri's mother opposed it

Everything about this review is accurate, except the translation of Chef 187 lyrics.
"Fititi inkanda, umushishi ni nappy." means "Skin is dark, hair is nappy." "Konse twanyanta, umushili we mark" translates to "everywhere we step, we leave a mark on the land." "Enginila, dokotela wa first atuma kwesu" translates to "Engineer and the first doctor comes from us."
The details are really making the movie more special than before!!
I think there maybe robot suits as decoys, I also think shuri shoes earlier in the trailer looks like they had wings of some sort... idk but super excited to watch this...

This movie is going to be amazing, I'd never thought I'd say Namor was cool, but wow. RIP King wakanda forever
Don't think I've seen anyone mention this, but in the final shot of there seemed to be circular patterned details on the wrist/hand of the panther suit that vaguely match the tattoo shown on Shuri's hand earlier in the trailer.
This trailer got me even more excited for this film.
That suit at the end seems more like the blue one we see Aneka in. It could be a little teaser of the Midnight Angels, Aneka and Ayo.

A note about the bridge in the care chase is that it’s the mass ave bridge that connects Cambridge to Boston, in the area of MIT, where they were filming scenes
It’s over the Charles river, which is connected to the Boston harbor, place of the Boston tea party, and opens up to the Atlantic ocean

LEGO sets have revealed Attuma will be playing a part in this film, which makes me think that perhaps Namor, a young king was manipulated into war with the Wakandians by Attuma, and that's what the actor means by anti-hero. Perhaps he helps them defeat Attuma and returns to the sea, not really on good terms with Wakanda but no longer at war with them.
