The Tamil group light green shirt to extreme left is famous Tennis player Ramanathan Krishnan.
Thanks for making this video, it was surprising to see several names we know so well, but didn't know they were part of this song.
Mrinal Sen is not correct, but I could not recognize who that person is.
Appreciate your effort, not an easy task to do. Thank you.
V Balsara - The Great Music Director and Composer Who composed the title songs of Aakashvani and Doordarshan, that is the National Broadcasters All India Radio and Television Wing.
@@antonygonsalves1976 I know V Balsara well. He is not V Baldara.Could be Chintamoni Kar.
@@tanmaybasu10 how do you know Mr V Balsara ? He passed away at least two decades ago. Mrinal Sen was there in the first row in the original video, but they cut it short.
Possibly Chinatamoni Kar, the famous Bengali sculpture.
@@shreemantee Yes someone had confirmed that.
Tamil Group I can recognize legendary Indian Tennis player Ramanathan Krishnan. Surprising epic world could not recognize him

Whenever it comes to dd national, as 90's kid, I and my brother started identifying the people, nostalgic song, sweet childhood memory.
When India was I+N+D+I+A. A country for all.
It still is..pls don't get carried away with negative journalism about the country by western media.
@@anand277 I'm sorry to say that western media actually doesn't lie about things in India. It's India regional media that has created a divide. It's better to recognize the problem and fix it rather than denying it.

I was a kid when it came, in Punjabi one you missed famous cricketer of India, leg spinner Maninder Singh. He was at his peak at that time. He is in orange turban on right most side smiling.
Very nice, very emotional video. When i first saw this in doordarshan than I was just 11yrs old. My father use too like this video. Now he is no more. Its nostalgic. 👍🙏🙏👍

The beautiful angel from prakash padukone team who are representing
Is " SUHASINI MANIRATNAM".
Great actress of South India.
And wife of the Great Indian Film director MANIRATNAM.
6:53 so called 'Tamil group ' is Ramanathan Krishnan the tennis player and Ramesh Krishnan's Dad and Venkatraghavan the cricketer. They wrongly identified him in Karnataka clip as sitting behind Prakash Padukone .
How could they miss Krishnan... legend of tennis in our times
Good job! Grt efforts.. the Tamil team consists of Ramanathan Krishnan (legendary tennis player and father of Ramesh Krishnan) and his wife. Also is S.Venkatraghvan, spinner. 6:53 . The person at 3:33 is not Venkatraghvan. At 2:04, its Prathap Pothen (not Prothen).
exactly ...i was also thinking of Prassana is so old ...how come is Venkatraghavan so young.
Your research was good 😉 I am really impressed.... By your hard work
Fantastic .... ABSOLUTELY .... After , so many , many years ............ Great . sitting in London and watching this video . .
Mera Bharat Mahaan .
This song is so nostalgic.. according to my parents when this song would be played in dd I would run and stand in front of the tv till song got over..This is 1988 story!
You wrongly identified venkatragavan in the Kanada group whereas he is actually present in the unidentified Tamil group. Whatever said, this video is a wonderful effort and my heartiest wishes to the creative team behind it. 👍
Correct
Yes sir, the man in Blue shirt to extreme right in unidentified Tamil Group is S.Venkataraghan ,Indian spin bowler.
तमिल ग्रुप में एक है - रामनाथन कृष्णन.- टेनिस खिलाडी
Many thanks for highlighting who is who. And as mentioned, some artists were wrongfully depicted, which has been rectified. Nostalgic, I get tears of joy when I get to see it.
I think he is Bs chandrasekhar, spin bowler from Karnataka.
Sometime I used to think who are the dislikers and how do the look like so we all can dislike them too...
