I'm not sure this is accurate. But I think a reason why multi tasking doesn't work as well is because learning is about connecting the dots. Once you multitask you overload with information about too many topics instead of focusing to connect the dots within a given topic which needs some mental effort and fresh memories. I guess it's a bit tiresome though and the struggle to recall and the connect the dots is scary and hard and you get an urge to break that feeling with some multitasking... But its maybe also a sign that you should slow down to solidify the information your trying to connect a bit better before going further (if the topic still seems a bit hard). So time is the essence and I believe i havent taken time enough into account as a person with poor memory. Much slower learning pace with spaced repetition hopefully will aid me in my learning. I think a journaling system for what information to repeat at what intervals is maybe something that would be of most use for my productivity...
I agree, many people in my generation (including past me) believed mutlitasking was an effective means of doing tons of stuff at once. You FEEL AWESOME while your multitasking. But then you realize afterward--if you reflect--that you actually got a lot less meaningful work done than you thought.
Good video, great message! I personally struggle with procrastination, always looking for a perfect solution instead of getting started with something good enough. As the saying goes, “perfect is the enemy of good”. I need to “just do it”. Thank you!

love the concept of slow burn/slow productivity 🔥 I get so overwhelmed mentally, and strive to implement these types of practices. thank you!
I'm happy it helped!
I think, both slow and fast productivity matter. It is all about 'context'. We need to consciously decide which one works well where....
Agreed, it's not one or the other rather shades of grey.

I used to have the same problem. Doing something is better than nothing.
