Hello, please tell me, if you put wheels of a larger diameter, then the gearbox will not break?I want the ATV to be higher.I just watched a video of how in America a man put 30 wheels, also with mud rubber.....I liked it.But I just want wheels with ordinary rubber, without mud and swamps, so that I can drive through fields and forests.
Well, anytime you put bigger wheels you are putting more stress on the driveline. So theres no guarantee something wont break especially on a 20 yr old machine. That being said I have bigger wheels on just about every truck I've ever owned and have never broken anything. It depends more on the driver and how much abuse you expect the machine to take. Good luck !!

We don't drive ours a whole lot so I stick to a once in the spring and once in the fall oil change. Filters are cheap so I change them on both oil changes.
@@SchnebsGarage I understand, thank you, in Russia, as a rule, they change the oil either looking at the mileage (ATV 1000-1500 km, or after driving in deep mud, swamp, or deep snow), here, or by the engine hours, also every about 20 hours, personally I probably orient myself by mileage, and I keep track of the equipment, take care of it, so it lives with me for a long time and is always in excellent condition
Hi, please tell me, I drove probably 25-30 kilometers, the weather was hot, probably 30 degrees, so I noticed that the rear gearbox got hot.... probably nrazhusov up to 60-70, is this normal?
That should be fine. Easy enough to check fluid levels there's a large fill bolt on the case just remove it and top it up until it just starts to come out. My guess is its never been changed and is often overlooked for maintenance.
CDI Box most likely, can get chinese knockoffs on Amazon for about $35. Also, check fuses, unlikely but I've seen people spend hours chasing no spark only to have a bad fuse.
just picked up one for free. kid tore it all apart because it has no spark. came with another cdi and regulator so guessing he changed those out. have dash lights etc. think it could be the stator?
I'd check the switch on the handlebar and the coil first before tearing into the stator. Also check wires, never know what mice might have gotten into. Few minutes checking basic stuff could save an hour or so of work. Technically the stator doesnt make spark, it generates power. The Magnetic pickup (also inside that case) is what sends a signal to the CDI. Good Luck!!
@@SchnebsGarage I know it has power to the dash lights and motor turns over with jump pack so thats a bonus! young kid tore it all apart so I kind of have a basket case! it had another cdi and voltage regulator sitting under the seat so guessing he switched those out. is there a way to bypass the killswitch?
@@hodgebone1 If its turning over with the button then the kill switch is working. Those wont turn over unless that switch is on and providing power to the solenoid. Considering they had spare CDI and Regulator then they most likely gave up chasing this problem. Stator could be the culprit for charging (thus the voltage regulator) but CDI would indicate bad coil, magnetic pickup (in with the stator) or bad wiring. Also check if theres a fuse under the seat in the rats nest of wires. I cant recall if the ignition has a stand alone fuse on that thing offhand.
It does seem like it, have had a few roll through here now with stator issues. I know for certain the voltage regulators on these are a problem as well... probably due to where they're mounted (outside between the back tires).
Thats a good question. Looks like a bolt either broke or loosened off then slowly wore out by hitting the turning flywheel. Never really figured it out exactly so just fixed it and got on with things ;)

@@SchnebsGarage Please tell me, what kind of box is this ULTRAMATIC,?I used to think it was just a CVT (you call it CVT), but it turns out it's something else, as I was told that it's more reliable than CVT
@@ЛешаМарков-х9б Ultramatic is still a CVT it's just a slightly different design. Instead of using flyweights like a conventional CVT and having the belt constantly running against a spinning disc. Firstly the stator doesn't make spark, it provides power to the bike and charges the battery. Spark is created by the ignition coil, which is activated by the CDI (Capacative Discharge Ignition), which is triggered by the pickup coil (inside with the stator that rides outside the flywheel). Now that we have that out of the way, 3 things that you should be looking at 1. pickup coil 2. CDI box and 3. Coil.
