It is very difficult to make videos that are entertaining, educational, while also promoting yourself at the same time while being genuine. Your videos are not only a master class in animation, but also for how to run a good and honest RUclips account. Thanks Ben!
This really warmed my heart, thank you.
This comment is the exact feeling I have when watching Ben's videos. He's so inspirational 🔥
That trick at 5:10 might be honestly my favorite thing I've seen this year from you. So simple but so creative!
Glad you like that one! I was doing a projects of a light going through a maze from the top down and came so close to doing the shadows manually.
@@BenMarriott I used that piece in a recent project to create sunbeams and shadows in clouds! No idea how I would have done it otherwise lol
does School of Motion have an email?
Fantastic as always! Love the blur map, definitely incorporating that!
Loved the message at the end! Thanks for everything, Ben. 🖤
Loving the Radial Fast Blur effect, I never think about combining effects like that but it's so helpful 🤩
I can't express how much your videos have helped me. your illustrative style inspires me so much!
That sharpen technique is a game changer! It really cleans up my projects when I'm using different elements that don't naturally blend. You're a legend!
Really excited to try this feature out! Amazing work !
Cool! Love the way the position changes of one image moves the shadow of another.
I use blur / sharpen exactly the same way all the time. I've never seen anyone else talk about using it the like that until now! Such a useful trick, and you do great job explaining why it works so well. All your videos are great!
You are a genius person ngl.
Learned a lot from you.
Fantastic topic. Thanks for sharing this!
Amazing! Another one I’ll be saving!
Thank you, Ben, for all that you do. It’s invaluable.
5:05 that moment!

This Video has bluren my mind! I'll have to try these tricks on one of my next projects. Thank you for teaching and entertaining so much at the same time in such a short tutorial.
Just excellent techniques here. Thank you.
Love it! I use compound blur all the time for mapping but never considered camera blur (mostly because it’s so slow). Great tip!
Another great tutorial, thank you 😄

THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL EVER
One of the most important pieces of wisdom to walk away with from this tutorial. "sometimes it's nice to step away from it all for a bit and remind yourself that your value is not confined to the work you produce, your productivity, or whether what you're doing makes sense to anyone."
really cool!
TNice tutorials is just the pick up I needed, thanks man

wow!!! I would have never used the blur effect for any of this! how do you come up with all these little tricks with "basic" effects?? And that solution to blur the tunnel instead of changing each individual color to black / white was genius!!

This channel always sparks inspiration in myself. It's hard for me to get working on videos but everytime I see a new video you manage to turn the way I want to videos upside done in a good way. Wanted to leave a comment for years but you deserve the subs for these kind of tut videos. Keep it up.
best channel ever
The first one is sorcery!
Thanks to you
THE BLURSUIT OF MAPPINESS! I'm just now appreciating this joke, having seen this video multiple times
sos un capo te amo
The Andrew Kramer of blurs hahaha 10/10!
The ad spot for your Master Motion Design course was very reminiscent of how Neytirix does hers, smooth and natural. Great video! Never knew blurring could be used for things other than blurring.
Fantastic as always Ben, your tutorials help a ton. I've really been enjoying the music you've been using in your recent videos, what kind of music "genre" is that and/or where are you getting these synth beds?
Ok, your comment made my day. For the past year or so I normally use 80s Synthwave tracks, but in some of the more recent ones I've been using more Ambient style tracks. Ambient, Chillwave, Synthwave, Retrowave are the kind of genre titles that pop up, but they're all pretty loose, and even the folk that make the music & playlists can't seem to agree on a standard definition. I really love peppy rhythmic ambient synth music, that's not so droney and dour. But there's not a lot of that on stock music libraries, so for the past few months, I've been learning to make my own. This is the first video where I made all the music. The main track here is a cover of Blur's Girls & Boys because I couldn't resist another blur reference. My goal was to slip a track in without anyone noticing, so your comment left me smiling ear to ear.
@@BenMarriott okay, now THAT wasn’t the response I was expecting. What??! Wow, I’m super impressed at your ability to make your own custom music beds. So awesome! I really liked the one you picked for your ‘15 After Effects Tricks Most Pros Don’t Know’ video. Keep it up 👏🏻👏🏻
thanks for the tips and thanks for using a blur album cover
Insane good. R&D at Pixar want to know your location. :)
Ben i love you
If only there was some kind of Master Motion Design course one could learn so much more...

I wish I did not live in Turkey, I could give the money they deserve to the dozens of beauties on offer and push both myself and you to develop.
Can you show how to create a cool colored glitch effect like those used in Battlefield 2042 reveal trailer. Appreciate it
