If the mustang is named after an airplane, why is its symbol a horse? A mustang is a wild horse. Both the car and the plane were named after the wild horse.

Najjar co-designed the first prototype of the Ford Mustang known as the "Ford Mustang I" in 1961. We're still trying to figure out all the technical stuff, sorry, I know clicking "skip" 3 times in a video while you're trying to drive isn't enjoyable or safe.

A Mustang is a horse. But the car was named after the speed and power of the fighter plane. (The plane was probably named after the horse)

Another designer of the Mustang car was Lee Iococa, later the CEO of Chrysler. Nevertheless, a mustang is a wild horse. Look it up.
