I watched the series so many years ago and fell in love with Indian cooking and Madhur Jaffrey. I even had the book from the series signed by her at a local book shop when she paid a visit. Lovely woman and program. Love to see it again. RUclips doesn't seem to have it nor her Far Eastern Cookery Series which was brilliant too.
Her cookbook was the first Indian cookbook I ever owned! I used it to plan and create dinner parties for friends. They were so impressed, but I really didn't deserve the credit. It was Jaffrey's recipes and suggestions for menu planning. I still have that book. I still use and love it.
Wow! What's your favourite dish from the book?
@@BBCWorldService Baida Vindaloo or Vinegared eggs. My husband hates eggs and he even loves this dish! 😍

I remember Ms Jaffrey's programmes so well! We had just gotten access to BBC TV via cable TV in The Netherlands, and my Mum and I would watch together with a pencil and notebook to write down what she was cooking. Her cooking show has definitely had a great influence on how I cook now.
