Happy Thanksgiving Guys. Yippee Professor Josh in the House. Thanks for Sharing Your Knowledge Josh. Wishing All An Awesome Thanksgiving. Greetings from Trinidad 🇹🇹
Happy Thanksgiving NGS!!🦃 Thursday nights feel strange without your live show.. Hope you guys have a great holiday, see you next week. Wanna know what you guys think of the new Daytona SP3?
Just curious, if the owner of that car did not or could not afford to fix the motor (go this far) and he had to sell the 355 now (with parts); what do you think the car is worth? Just curios, because if my 355 had those issues, I'd be crying right now. I would be wondering, sell and take the lose or rebuild and hope to break even, make money (?). Just curious what others think.; But when this car is put back together, it is going to be a badass 355! IMO
@@normalguysupercar I know that, but I wonder what the market would dictate. Some car guys think their car is worth more than what it really is worth. If the guy wanted 40k as is, I wonder what someone would actually put up now, like maybe 15-25k? I'm assuming the bill is going be be over 30k, then new tires, shocks (are not cheap), steering rack (if needed), etc. The 355 market seems like it is still all over the place.
Sorry Dan this is a joke Why don't you jest pick a number that works because without a tenths micrometer that's what you might as well do. This is shit without the proper measuring equipment.
@@normalguysupercar I have built several engines but not Ferrari. The inspecting and measuring of bearing services are just as critical whatever engine you work on. To say I'm disappointed in Josh's flippant inspection and measurements using a vernier to set the bore gauge etc I'm flabbergasted. Surely he owns a set of micrometers to carry out this work properly.
Happy Thanksgiving ✌️I really like the different types of measurements info. Very complicated and technically challenging.
Thanks
I’m really enjoying this series. It’s always great when Josh is on. I feel like I’m learning a whole lot. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you!
I learn soooo much watching these types of builds......like why it's worth to have Josh do the work. :) All hail Mechanica!!! :)
Lol I like that name
It would be nice if Josh explained ovality and taper of the crank too.
Glad to hear the extra quacks coming thick and fast!
The quacks came in hard
JOSH IS BACK!!!! Great to see you qaucking again. I was qaucking worried. Good qaucking video Dan.
Thank you very quacking much
Always interesting.
I agree
Happy Thanksgiving thanks again.....
Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving guys

What services does josh offer , does he only go by the hour does he offer half hour time billing
I don't know.
I bill by the day 🤣
I personally would pay more to hear Josh talk longer
Well we wouldn't refuse money. Lol
Happy Thanksgiving Gentlemen. Did Meg prepare Thanksgiving Dinner. Josh brain belongs in the Smithsonian...
I'm making dinner.
Second!
Yay

Certainly it would be worth a lot less as a bag of parts.

I paid $35k for my 355 with an engine in boxes.
Are the rods / pistons / and crank.... forged in a Ferrari? or cast ?
The rods are titanium I believe. Not sure on the rest
All forged internals. True motorsport quality parts.
First!
Yup!
@@normalguysupercar Yeah I'm a dork :)
What kind of hat is Josh wearing ? Looks pretty cool
It's his company hat
I thought Josh said Twerk angle at first instead of torque angle
Lol
When men get together they have to measure stuff.
It's usually not a good thing when you have to use very small tools to measure these things.
Over at Porsche they call them germanals. Adam should have known that.
Lol
no wander my good engine builder took a month and the economy builder took a week
Pretty much!
Plastiguage?
Can use that too
Hand Josh some Plastigage, and the quack count would have been max'd out!
Lol no kidding
Fk. I've actually been told to build "race" engines with that stuff in a past life. It is still better than assuming, at least.
Well? There goes my prediction on the quack count...
LOL!
There’s not too much clearance Clarence
Don't call me Shirley

How many engines have you built?

Quack
Lots of them
324th
Yay
We wouldn't be watching if Josh didn't like to talk...
Lol right
