I can relate to EVERYTHING! I have been working for the last four years while homeschooling and full-time for the past 18 months. I was the sole supporter of our family for about a year. IT IS HARD! and STRESSFUL! I think we need to give ourselves some grace. We are finally at the point where my husband said, "you took care of us, now it's my turn." So, I'll be unemployed in less than two weeks. I'm terrified, but giving it to God. Sorry for the story!❤😅
What a sweet story! You worked so hard, and now you're able to stay home while he works! God's got this! As we know, it may not be the easiest life, but it will be worth the sacrifice. ❤
Today has been one of those days where I think I can’t homeschool anymore. Thank you for your video, the timing was much needed for me. I miss alone time but your words of intentionality really resonated with me. God bless!
I have always used the teacher's guides, but the answer key should be sufficient too! I think its just a preference thing. I like being able to see the exact pages, I feel like it makes it easier to grade. Also, I think its really helpful if you have a child that's struggling, bc they have examples and extras that can be helpful.
Homeschool working mom here! It's definitely harder to work and Homeschool, but I think of it as a season and enjoy the good and bad. My eldest went to public school until high school and I wish I Homeschooled him. I don't know if I'll Homeschool all the way to high school. It's all God's planning, it's his Homeschool, and I surrender to him. God bless your Homeschool and your family Toni! I enjoy your content ❤
Thank you for the encouragement! Thinking of it as a season is such a good tip! Its so easy to get overwhelmed, but this is just a season we're in. Make the most of it! ❤
I relate to you so much! My husband is also on disability and I am the one who drives the kids to their practices, games, etc., and I homeschool. It is very hard, but so rewarding at the same time!
I appreciate your honesty with this video. It can definitely be a struggle. I'm thankful that you shared the other more positive side of things also. The Lord's grace is definitely sufficient for all things. Homeschooling is hard but also rewarding and so worth it, especially the opportunity to raise or children to know The Lord and to spend the ups and downs with them daily. Thank you for your video!
I find a lot of value in seeing the worst of each other... we have learned how to work with difficult people (AKA each other - LOL!), we have learned how to say "I'm sorry" and forgive each other, and they know their mom isn't perfect and doesn't proclaim to be. In return, they know they don't have to be perfect! I grew up with a mom who never said "I'm sorry" or gave me room not to be perfect. It was A LOT of pressure! I've been trying to reverse that flaw in myself my entire adult life. So, I love this part of homeschooling and life together!
I wanted to cry looking at this, thank you. 🙏 ❤ Not enough homeschooling moms often talk about real life struggles with homeschooling. Their financial situations especially! This was just so real and much needed. Great reminders 😊 God bless!
I feel like Spring is so hard because this is the time of year when Math concepts are so hard and grammar has really gotten intense! This video came at the perfect time! 😊 and you are just so funny!❤
Thank you very much for the transparency in this video. I watched every single ad that came up to help your channel! Please share any tips on how to cut down and all your tips and tricks to make it work with one income!
It’s hard but so rewarding! My kids go to a hybrid school so 2 days a week they’re at a private Christian school, and the other 3 home with me working together. We use a variety of curriculum that the school picks. I work usually 2-3 nights a week waitressing. It’s been the perfect balance for all of us!
We love homeschooling. It’s the right fit for our family. However, right now with inflation I am having to go back to work. I am trying so hard to find a work from home job so we can continue to homeschool. I am stressing out with the thought of having to put my kiddos in public school. Praying God’s plan is for us continue homeschooling and a job will open up soon for me.
I'm right there with you friend! We're in a situation where this may be a constant "what if" and "how in the world" with continuing to homeschool and make ends meet. Just keep praying and trusting God to provide! ❤
You're never alone! YEP! I have a hubby working from home 3 out of 5 days a week, on top of my two teens and two dogs. LOL! I take drives alone almost daily to give myself some alone time. I'm one of those people who needs that! --- But I wouldn't change it. I grew up in public school, wasn't close to my brother, everything was kind of compartmentalized.... church together, school alone, dinner together, friends were the center of our world, not family, bc we spent the majority of time with friends at school.
You're so smart to make that a regular thing to just get out and drive to keep your sanity! Yes, that's exactly what I experienced too! I know its not for everyone, but I sure am grateful to be able to homeschool! ❤
I'm really missing homeschooling my kids right now. They are in a private school today after a spring break. I'm disabled right now from a serious car accident but I am working hard to get back to homeschooling. My therapist for my TBI says hopefully by the end of July I can start homeschooling my kids again and I am very excited to get back with a new vision for it. If you could please pray for me to do this because I miss my old life.
I will pray for you Jenny! I'm so sorry you've been through such a hard time, but God will give you the strength to continue! I pray He makes a way for you to homeschool again real soon! ❤
There will be joy in the morning! You are an overcomer! Thank you for your example of positivity and strength in difficult times. Thanks for being real. It is very easy to say "poor me" during these seasons. I know I have a tendency to go there. But, with the Lord's help we can do all things!
Thank you for the encouragement! You're completely right, its so easy to say "poor me"...I struggle with that on rough days! But I know God's got this! ❤
Love this video!!! Love the candy idea with the little containers!!! And also, like you, I grew up with parents that worked all the time, a brother and sister and home alone kinda taking care of ourselves a lot. I am guessing that’s why you and I both wanted to homeschool and be with our kids as much as possible!
My daughter is DYING over here. The stuffed "dinosaur" is Pickle by RUclips artist Moriah Elizabeth, and my daughter is a HUGE FAN. I refuse to buy her "Merch," because I cannot justify $35 for a stuffed animal. When I saw him on the screen, I immediately called for her to come verify what I was seeing. She keeps saying, "She doesn't even know who he is!" Bahahaha. YOU GO MOM!
As soon as I read your message, I knew exactly who you meant! My daughter and I used to watch Moriah Elizabeth and all her cute little drawings! She has such a fun personality 🤣 Tell your daughter thank you for telling me and that we’ll take very good care of pickle! ❤️
Yeah, high school is more expensive... My kids are two grades apart, so I try to combine them when I can to save money. Like next year, I'm having them BOTH do chemistry together, so I only had to buy ONE lab kit for that subject. Science lab kits are ri-donk-ulous!

Homeschooling is not for the faint at heart. However, it is worth it!!! ❤
Amen!

This is so true! We need to be real and let them see that we're not perfect and neither are they.....and its ok! Absolutely! ❤
