The Cure Chronicles: HIV with Emma Cole

Emma is an HIV activist from the UK who has been living with HIV for 31 years. She is a TEDx speaker and conducts “Positive Voice” talks, where she speaks at schools and businesses, spreading awareness about HIV, its treatment, and her journey since being diagnosed back in 1991. Emma visits over 100 schools every year and has spoken to an estimated 350,000 young people across the UK and Europe. She volunteered at “Positive Youth”, where she shared her story as a woman living with HIV to correct misconceptions about HIV. Emma is dedicated to using her personal experience and knowledge to help challenge stigma around HIV and to improve HIV awareness.
About The Cure Chronicles:
There are more than 38 million people in the world currently living with HIV/AIDS. At American Gene Technologies® (AGT™), we believe there is hope for a cure. But it will take everyone working together to make it a reality and permanently end the suffering of millions of people living with HIV today.

I have been following your research for some time now
But I think this lady is been very honest about the thought of a cure
I don't think there will be a cure in 2023 or 2024 because there's a need for safety monitoring
I have read somewhere that you have to monitor those involved in the clinical trial until 2037
My question then is should your company succeed in finding a cure does it mean it won't be available to the general public until the safety monitoring period is over?

Yes the cure cannot be given to the public until all safety measures have been taken.

We don't have any exact timeline of when it will be public but we will be trying to get the cure to as many people as possible as quick as possible.
