I have given away many dolls, sold a few and still have an abundance. Many are in boxes due to space. I never get tired of looking for interesting or unique ones... I wish we all lived close, where we could do a big trading meet-up, and exchange doll for doll with no money involved...I think it would be fun. It's sweet that you are saving the OG dolls for the little gals!
I admit I have a small group of dolls stashed away. There are sort of in between, not ready to give them up but not ready to take them out of the box yet.
I think a lot of us in the doll collecting community probably have champagne tastes - sadly a lot of us also only have a cola budget (and not even Coca Cola or Pepsi, but like a store brand cola). It's a really lovely idea to give these dolls away to children who'll appreciate them. I would love to go through all my dolls and maybe part with some of them them (eventually), but I doubt it would be worth selling a lot of them because they're out of box so I would probably just give them to a charity shop or gift them. That said I can't think of any which I would definitely think of getting rid of just yet!
I have a five year old granddaughter, Kali, that is who most things go to, much to my daughter-in-law's chagrin! I have an AG doll (Luciana) waiting for her, she debuted the same day Kali was born. 😊 I also have made a bunch of clothes for her and will most likely be making more before I give it to her, along with a lot of shoes and other accessories! I've already given her two Bitty Babies, an AG 8" Caring for Baby and a "Blix". For her 5th birthday, I gave her a Glitter Girl (she came with the VW Bug car) and Wellie Wishers dolls, Ashlyn and Camille. All came with a large wardrobe, shoes, etc. 🤪 I let her pick out a couple of dolls from my Disney Animator collection, so she has Anna and Elsa and a couple of outfits for them. I also gave her a couple of 18" dolls from Adora, with a couple of outfits each. She has four little friends and I'm considering taking the rest of them over there and letting the girls chose the ones they want. I told Kali I would keep Kristoff for her and I know she likes Tinkerbell. I am running out of space and since I love seeing little girls playing with dolls, I figured I could solve two issues! 😊
Oh, she must love all of those. I have thought of giving some AG dolls away, but all my grand nieces are too young right now to properly take care of them.
I recently gave away two American Girl dolls plus several outfits and shoes to two little girls who live in Brazil (they are the daughters of my husband's cousin). Every now and then I go through my collection and either sell some or give away some. I love those little sheath dresses you made, so cute!
Congrats letting go is hard! I need to downsize my cabbage patch...but everytime i start, i find reasons to keep them. I do give my doubles of things and dolls toy niece and nephew
They will love them. ;-) No. I keep all my dolls. I should not. But I always hear Doll Collectors saying, "I got rid of those dolls and now I am so sorry I did.". Maybe that is just my excuse.
Hi Dolls 👋 I purged my doll collection back in the 90s. Now here I am collecting again 😂 🤷♀️ what can you do...I am collecting newer and different dolls now so?? 😉
I also gave away a multiple of my dolls to a couple of my friends to give to the kids because I had a lot and I wanted to spend it out little bit I felt kind of good and if I know that I want to get them back and no it be difficult but I can get thank you for sharing

Oh how nice!!! I would have loved getting them as a kid. They will hopefully really enjoy them!
I hope so!

I feel like you really think through you purchases though, from what I see on your channel. I don't always do that!
They are going to love these dolls and all the clothes!
I hope so
OMG, they are going to love those, what a wonderful aunt! I have given or sold dolls, they are usually ones that I don't spend any time on or look at.
Yes, nothing wrong with the dolls but if they get no attention and aren't display only dolls I don't like to keep them too long typically

That's a great idea!
Aw they will love them!
I had a bunch of baby dolls and Paola Reinas that I sold.
Those outfits are so cute!
I had one Paola and sold her too, loved her but didn't want to go down that road.
@@TammyPowley Yes. Exactly. I bought her cause she was scented😂😂😂

Yes, I've done that a few times, regretted, but surprising not as much as I would think
I gave all my baby dolls to a lady that distributes them to Alzheimer's patients. But I kept my vintage tiny tears dolls xx
That is wonderful!!

I also did that many years ago and then started back seriously collecting in 2015!
Lovely to share your dolls with younger members of your family. You picked out some great outfits too.
Aww you’re gonna have so much fun with those dolls. They’re actually very pretty especially the redhead.
I hope so. I think they will enjoy them
