Can we get a stiffness matrix from this simulation, like elastic constants for orthotropic(9) or anisotropic(21) material? Please tell your opinion on this.
@@姜康-n3sThe individual constituents are isotropic. The fiber material has same properties in all direction that's why its isotropic, the matrix material has same properties in all directions that's why its also isotropic. However when you combine the two and make the unit cell, then this assembly becomes anisotropic because their combination results in a different properties in different directions.
Hi the glass fiber has slight anisotropy.. transver young modulus around 68 Gpa, longitudinal modulus around 72.. for simplicity we modeled as isotropy... But of course, if you want you can model the slight anysotropy but the homogenized response might not be affected significantly.
They have sharing nodes.. so no fiber and matri debonding allowed. If you need fiber n matrix debonding, you can insert cohesive elements.. or assign cohesive surface behavior from interaction module
@@FEADith thank u so much for replying me!! I can mesh a sample matrix containing a single particle now, but I can not do the same thing when there are multiple inclusions. Has something changed?
@@chenzichuan2278 this is common problem in cae. In some cases they crashes if we execute command in certain way. I also found it usually. Need to change the meshing technique etc.. cant really help u at this point 🤣
You can calculate it yourself. You knlw the radius and the length of the fiber hence you know the volume of the fiber you know the size of the cube hence you know the volume of the cube. Fiber volume fraction is just volume fiber/volume cube*100 percent
Hello Dear, Hoping you are doing well, this video would help me to perform m'y model on homogenization of piezocomposite. Can I send you my cae file and if you have time, i will need your help to ameliorate it. Thank you in advance !!!
Hi, your video is great. Could you upload a PDF of the video if possible? Thanks a lot.
could you please make a video like this but with hyperelastic material ?
tnx for your wonderful video
how to find stiffness matrix of a structure (preferably in RVE modelling) in Abaqus?
Can we get a stiffness matrix from this simulation, like elastic constants for orthotropic(9) or anisotropic(21) material?
Please tell your opinion on this.
May i got the PDF file please ?
Hi, glass fiber is Anisotropy material, why you set it as Isotropic in this model?
maybe fiber is also isotropic material, is it?

Glass fibre is not "too" anisotropic. On the other hand, carbon fibre is.
Why did you assign u2 = 0, and u3=0 separately? could we do it together (I mean in one creation)?
It is ok.
Please how can we specify fiber/filler volume fraction in abaqus? thank you in advance
The volume fraction is function of fiber radius. So set the radius accordingly
@@FEADith thank you very much🙏
Can you please share the PDF and the python code. Thank you in advance.
Hi, Is there any traction between fiber and matrix ? can you show them please ?
Hey what is mean by matrix in this case?
what is the contact condition between fiber and matrix?
They have sharing nodes.. so no fiber and matri debonding allowed.

merci- brother
if the matrix could totally contain the inclusions, how to assign sections to the inclusions and matrix after assembly
You can always hide and show cells and assign the cell accordingly

Please what is the vol% of the fiber in this model and How can we determine it? Thank you.
