I gave it a shot and it is a good youth fantasy show, it is obviously not historically accurate and it does not make any pandering or bigotry of low expectations type of sjw reference concerning race in any way. The makers are obviously aware if you are going to have a racially diverse cast playing in a period set piece that would have been mainly caucasian european then race cannot be a plot tool or narrative, as it would pull apart the whole piece, families can be any mix of race as can villians( just like in real life) Gender and social status isn't a big deal and appropriate within the context of the time. If you're looking for historical accuracy then this is not for you, but as a fantasy series of the likes of Percy Jackson, Golden Compass etc it fits the bill. The young cast do extremely well and there are many future stars amongst them.

At that time and place the answers was YES. She would have been arrested and lucky if she was not horse whipped or worse. O and the race swap of Dr Dr. Watson is pathetic , Dr. Watson was written as and has always been white. changing him is just pandering to the SJW idiots. Having the Prince turn up and fall for the girl and randomly bump in to her in the street of a city of 4 million people is just plain silly.

That way you get to choose from the trivial things in life that are not to your liking just so you have something to complain about.
