I bought one brand new in April 2019 for $3,559. I hadn’t paid more than $1,000 on any amp prior and just jumped in. It truly is an insanely incredible amp. I need to work on my tone a bit, I feel like your notes sustain more than mine haha. Great playing 🎸
To be honest if after spending $4.5k on an AMP - if it wasn't your "Favorite" you would probably need serious therapy or financial counseling at the minimum. Sounds good. But why make me wait @3:22 to hear it?
Prefer the combo. yes the head/cab is a 2x12. it had a fuse break and i actually havent opened it since it was repaired, its still in the shipping box. the combo works perfect for me.
Hmm, not sure how much this pitch will help, but I can give my own take on it. For a similar price to a Klon Centaur, you get an amp that ACTUALLY makes anything you plug into it sound better. Likewise, it's arguably better than just about any clean amp south of an SSS (and, in many cases, right on par with the SSS). A twin or deluxe reverb (which are incredible amps, don't get me wrong) will sound like spoiled milk next to a TC. It's also great for many more things than the strat >BB > TS > Klon thing; it's great with an LP and Lightspeed, amongst many other setups as well.
Man these vids are awesome
@willlowmusic thanks!!
Sounds like All We Ever Do Is Say Goodbye at 7:40. Great chord progression and a very underrated song. Awesome demo. This is my dream amp.
Pretty cool man i enjoy the vids
Thank you!
Great video/playing/tone! The TR Traditional Clean is my fav amp too
Love your playing and this amp dude !! Just got it used last week... it's a dream come true brother !! THAT tone !!
@@alexousky enjoy it!!
@cwillis can we follow you on socials ? On Instagram or Facebook?
Well played mate!! Thanks for sharing the beautiful tone of that amp!! God bless you mate!
@@TippitoWOW thank u!
Sounds great!
Good to see you're back! I'll definitely get a Traditional Clean soon too, amazing versatile amps that make every guitar sound so rich
The amp sounds gorgeous man, just wish I could afford one!!
and he delivered
Man that Guitar looks sick holy moly.
Peace Hill FX makes a brilliant preamp pedal that nails the John Mayer Two Rock tone. You could bring it to your friend's house easily.
A BB reissue and even a TS9 or Maxon OD808 will get you the continuum tone as well.
That Vultures jam was filthy, man!
That amp would probably sound great with a baritone
I can understand… my favorite amp is my Two-Rock Studio Signature on a Marshall 2061cx 2x12” vertical cab…

@@sanfranman242001 thank you so much. It’s crazy how much gear has inflated over the past 5 years. Interesting to watch.
Can you make a video on your entire rig? Would be interesting to see what guitars, pedals and amp you own and use. Thanks!
Sure!
@@cwillisstill waiting on this!
I'm going to stop buying weird pedals and save money for such a great amp.
Love your tones.
Why did you chose the traditional clean in a combo vs a head?
I have both, I just prefer the ease of the combo and the lower power output.

Yeah I would expect $4500 to sound no less than perfect.
Great video per usual. What’s the details on your strat?
@@mattonthewater I think it’s a deluxe American. It was my very first guitar. I now play it over all the others.
Any chance you could compare the TC to your SS on the bottom gain structure setting? Wondering how much overlap there is. Thanks!
hey! mind telling me whats that strap brand and model?
Do you prefer the combo or the head & cab? Is it a 2x12 cab?

@@cwillis thanks for the reply man. Keep rocking out, sounding killer.
@@AlexTroulanGuitar thank you so much
Bruh, what do you do for a living? that is an incredible rig for a non-full time guitar player.
Thanks! I'm a business owner.
I almost never play clean. I have a twin reverb and barely use it. I’m more of a metalhead
Klon into TS or TS into Klon?
@@brendenhahn3393 I think Klon into Ts
I’ve heard John has played around with both combinations but uses Klon into TS most often, which also sounds best to my ears. Cheers!
Is your master always at 0 ?
@@xbox123456789 usually 10-20%
3 months and no notes for me
One song or idea might change your mind soon😋
please expand beyond john mayer, it's so overdone.
Working on it!
