Put an extractor pipe on an ender chest and carry an ender bag of the same colour and you have transdimensional automatic storage. Set the logistics pipes up to make a sorting system, use AE for the crafting.
I liked them for crafting, since they are much more powerfull than AE. With sattelite pipes and the ability to prefill a recipe you can have a very fast and complex crafting system.
@@hubertnnn It quickly got complicated, though. AE started off complicated and just stayed there. Logistics pipes and the other pipe based crafting systems all had a problem of exponentiating complexity.
Direwolf20, you can press orange button in gregtech machines to autoextract items, and also don't forget to rotate an ouput with a wrench. Items will go to adjacent to output's inventory
To be fair: compared to Gregtech, basically every other main tech mod besides AE2 requires hardly any brains to use. Gregtech requires you to think long term, like thinking up a fully self-sufficient HV-level oil-based power supply and starting work on it in the LV stage.
A tip for blast furnace, make sure you have at least 4 full batteries in your CEF. It seems that amount of full batteries = amperage of output, and you need 4 amperes.
Correct. Also, there's a 16-battery version that outputs 16 amps, this can be useful if you wanna still use LV power in the MV stage. Just transform that power upwards and you got 4 amps of MV power if you can produce it.
(regarding the crates) "I didn't even look." And that's the problem right there. The amount of times you haven't looked for something and it's been there or you just give up after .2 seconds of looking is immeasurable. It's a flaw you have and you never try to get over it. More patience and the ability to slow down and look is something you need to work on.
Dire's struggling with the number of ores and processing methods that exist, let alone cheaper crafting recipes. This is why a pen & paper is necessary when dealing with GregTech, or a printed help guide to everything on the side.
@@saturnGEEK I think the crafting machines ought to be a LOT cheaper for GT, at least for "single purpose" crafting like making motors including its components, so you can set up a factory line of production so you put at one end the materials needed for a craft and out the other end comes a product to use, even if it is an intermediate, if complex, item. That is not possible with GT or indeed industrial craft because the machines are too damn expensive and extremely so in GT. Such machines would have to be able to talk back to prior linked machines to request a build, meaning they'd have to have internal storage and a passthrough storage or some interconnect that could pass such materials and requests through the chain. But if you can set up one chain of machines for making motors, another for making cases, another for making chips, another for making... etc. then you can fire up an entirely IC/GT suite of autocrafting AND make an interesting factory build (you know, like an industrial craft) and then build up to use it within another pack for complex crafting. GT needs more complicated machines for some components too. E.g. a chip manufacturing plant that uses copper gold, cobble (for silicon) and rubber/plastic to produce cheap and quick electronic circuits, maybe even using "nuggets" or a fraction of a reservoir filled by one object, to make it cheaper. Casings too, manufactured in a single machine, maybe using fewer resources to do it. The point of it is to give you an end goal for *crafting* that you can aim for. As it is, the hassle of the ridiculously overcomplicated and expensive crafting in GT just make you loathe to build more than the minimum necessary and therefore rely on other mods to make crafting at all possible for a sane human being to enjoy as a game. Aluminium should be a cheap smelt from aluminum too, you recycle it a lot. The expense comes from its attraction to silicon and therefore the difficulty in extracting it from ores, not from the material itself once refined.
@@markhackett2302 The point of GregTech IS its complexity and expense. It's attempt is to mimic real processes as much as possible. Producing aluminum is really really power intense, you need to break down Bauxit ore for it… aluminum has a low melting point, but the extraction process from bauxite isn’t easy
If you've never played gregtech, you'd NEVER guess that's how they work. That, and recipes get faster the more excessive your voltage is.
