I’m not a hater of these type of frozen fries by any means. I have a bag of these in my freezer as a type this. However, I love seeing these skilled chefs have to use these when they definitely have the skills to make fresh fries. I get it though. It’s for the common man that doesn’t always have the time or energy.
They do ethical foie gras but it is much more expensive. Should be the standard though. Like I’m all for eating meat, but let’s not make the animals suffer for it.
I think there’s a degree of suffering in factory farming that is sad but is done out of necessity to meet demands of such a large population but they don’t suffer to the degree geese or ducks do because someone wants a rare and premium product. The act of force feeding these animals and then the way many of their feathers are removed are abhorrent. One seems like much more of a choice to be evil than the other. But you can make the argument that predators make their prey suffer and that’s what we are.
@@whatevereyewant all animal products are cruel and unnecessary since we have alternatives now. I recommend watching a documentary on RUclips called “Dominion”, it shows very well how abhorrent factory farms and other animal agriculture industries are. I would argue that foie gras is the least cause of overall animal suffering. It's expensive so they don't make much of it compared to the mass production of animal products like ground beef, hot dogs, etc.... I'm well aware of the way they make the stuff, but overall, there is less animal suffering because there are fewer animals involved. The only reason why foie gras is a target is because it's low hanging fruit. Unless you live in France only rich people are perceived to eat the stuff or that's the perception. Go after some working stiff's Big Mac, and you probably have a bigger fight on your hands.
"less suffering happens because less animals are involved" is a weird take. so its ok for the few animals to suffer horribly for the sake of you getting your tasty torture food? I agree there are bigger targets but does that mean the smaller ones should be left alone? why not fight the smaller fights and build up to a bigger one? thats how it works.
The should be a law. You may only fry the product of animal cruelty in a coated pan. And you have to use a sharp spatular so you really scrap some of the layer into your dish - with all the benefits of those forever chemicals.
Can't see 'Foie Gras' and not think 'torment and torture for the sake of greed'. disgusting and barbaric. there are better foods out there not obtained by treating animals so grotesquely.
They stopped doing the whole "funneling food down the birds throats" thing in the 80's, now they get fed a variation on the same ultra high protein feed that all other livestock eat today.
@@groosbro1 if that's your only consideration, I guess, but I ask you to educate yourself on the process and ask yourself if it's worth the animals suffering

The concept of bringing this to a tailgate is genuinely hilarious to me.
Someone brings this to a tailgate, they ain’t drinking their own booze for sure haha
Humble and skilled chef who executed the task with what he was given!

He understood the assignment. 👌🏾👌🏾
Not exactly a dish I would associate with a tailgate but I would eat the absolute hell out of that.
love the way he pronounced lapcheong!
Foie gras is probably the most expensive guilty pleasures a person can have.
No, it’s $1000 dollar hookers and an ounze of Bolivian matching powder a week.
No it’s $1000 dollar street walkers.
I can see this being a real thing at a college like Vanderbilt or Ole Miss. Bagged fries and Foie Gras.....oh yeah.
If you pull out tofu for a tailgating, we will be fighting unless it's fried chili tofu
Damn dude get a personality
That is the best looking football food to eat, and all of the ingredients work perfectly together.
Foie Gras is indeed delicious! But in UK King Charles banned it in royal residences...
For good reason
He killed his first wife...but he cares for geese. What a guy! 😂😂😂
You can't forget the name of his restaurant. Named after the greatest POTUS in my lifetime.

Yummy. I'll take 10.
What is the brand of knife you use ?
$17 per bite and you get 4 bites
This is animal abuse.
Same thing when I'm with your mom

Very nice. How long was the bird force fed with a tube down its throat.
Long enough to make it delicious
A hilarious amount of time like it was absurd
Great question! Not sure, but I do know that after a good feeding they are given liberal tears to quench their thirst.
That's metal af.
Yum 🤤 dry your eyes you commie
Every but of this, from how foie gras is made, to this recipe is disgusting. for shame🤮

Can we go back to 'fancy' fine dining? 'Quirky' dining was alright in the mid-2010s, but let's get serious again.
