i think its too early for that, give it like 5-10 more years those batteries will last longer than the full tank, while the engine is probably gonna be even stronger lighter and so on, its a new technology give it time.

I work wildland fire in six rivers. You don't know anything about anything. I was there for the august complex. Once these horrible fires go through the old plantations it will never happen again. We used to have only doug firs and now we have mostly oak woodland growing back. The main job for foresters in the forest service now is to make fire breaks out of old plantations. What he means by weight with the trucking industry is not the overall weight of the batteries. Truckers are limited by weight on American highways so what happens is trucks can't haul as much because the weight of the truck and regulation restrict that. So the pay goes down the cost of goods goes up for everyone. Trucks would haul less and would cost stores more to move freight.
exactly. with EV trucks carrying smaller loads to keep the overall weight equal, you'd need to put many more trucks on the road just to haul an equal amount of products that's currently hauled.

It's worse than that. People in high crime areas eventually just stop reporting it at all. They know it is a waste of time and their car stereo is not coming back. There won't be any investigation. This is totally true. My grandpa worked for the forest service in California and has said this multiple times. They used to clear timber to prevent the forest fires, but they don't do it anymore because of the treehuggers

The problem is not teachers discussing politics. It's teachers, pushing political opinion. If teachers actually discussed politics more, we might not be in some of these situations.
The issue is if you discuss politics in a genuine way you might find out the pros and cons of solutions to different problems and see that some solutions are better than others. However each problem and solution is color coded red or blue so once someone decides what they think the best course of action is they become color coded themselves. No matter how good a Republican solution is for a problem, Democrats will never want to let it happen, and vice versa. So merely by talking about what policies are best, or whatever solution someone decides that they like more determines how outsiders will see them. If a highschool kid says, “you know what based on x, y, and z. I think immigration is bad and we need better security” all of a sudden he was brainwashed by his right wing racist teacher. If that same kid comes home and says “the private healthcare and big pharma is more corrupt than our government could ever be, we need more regulation and universal healthcare like every other country has”. Then all of a sudden they were brain washed by their communist teacher pushing his far left liberal agenda. America has reached a point where discussion is impossible, for genuine progress to take place in either direction we have to kill the other side or wait for certain hard leaning age demographics to die on their own and swing influence from there.

Crime is down because they stop prosecuting major crimes. Crime is actually up, just not in the current judicial system, unfortunately.
They also changed what is and isn't a crime. They raised the misdemeanor amounts for shoplifting as an example.

Californians being tricked into thinking forest management is environmental destruction just fits so well. Paying the price for importing those Australian trees and not managing them afterwards, putting homes businesses and lives in jeopardy because of it.

The problem that is occurring, is that there are hectares of standing dead timber all over that state, and the reason there is so much standing dead timber, is because of an imported beetle that eats tree bark, which the trees over here have basically no resistance to. So, there is really only one thing to do, and that is to get rid of all the damned trees. To that end, two solutions were proposed:
Solution 1: Let the timber companies do their jobs and log the forest. Naturally that didn't go down well with Newsom's activist constituency, so he basically didn't allow that to happen.
Solution 2: Let the forest service do controlled burns. That had the same problem as solution 1.
So now, you have a state that is basically a giant tinderbox ready to go up, and nobody is allowed to do anything about it.

This is totally true. My grandpa worked for the forest service in California and has said this multiple times. They used to clear timber to prevent the forest fires, but they don't do it anymore because of the treehuggers

It's so crazy they won't let them log and manage the forest. It's really important. You have to go in and steward the forest which long term makes it stronger and healthier. We log like crazy in Texas but our forests are still intact and gorgeous. Even after Bastrop burned, they go in there and manage the new growth to ensure it grows back in a stable manner. It's simple.

The issue is if you discuss politics in a genuine way you might find out the pros and cons of solutions to different problems and see that some solutions are better than others. However each problem and solution is color coded red or blue so once someone decides what they think the best course of action is they become color coded themselves. No matter how good a Republican solution is for a problem, Democrats will never want to let it happen, and vice versa. So merely by talking about what policies are best, or whatever solution someone decides that they like more determines how outsiders will see them. If a highschool kid says, “you know what based on x, y, and z. I think immigration is bad and we need better security” all of a sudden he was brainwashed by his right wing racist teacher. If that same kid comes home and says “the private healthcare and big pharma is more corrupt than our government could ever be, we need more regulation and universal healthcare like every other country has”. Then all of a sudden they were brain washed by their communist teacher pushing his far left liberal agenda. America has reached a point where discussion is impossible, for genuine progress to take place in either direction we have to kill the other side or wait for certain hard leaning age demographics to die on their own and swing influence from there.
