    This is very helpful. Thank you. How do you guys go finding rewards seats to the USA and do you manage to pay with points for all of your family or only some?

    I've joined! But I'm in Turkey right now, and the app is blocked here. When I get home, I'll get the app. We are frugal, too. My husband rents an apartment in İstanbul, and owns property in Kashmir spliff 3 ways. Our main living space is our home in Illinois. We could save the money on traveling with Qantas! Thank you for sharing, and looking forward to learning more.

    I remember back in the 90s being able to use the Ansett lounge, as my grandparents were members. Such a shame that airline went under - it was so elegant.
    Cannot believe I’ve failed to sign Anthony up for Woollies extra as well! 100% doing so tomorrow!

    Hello how do you get the 3%? logged into woolies and still paying full price. nothing in the app either. if you dont have a credit card how do you purchase all the disney travel? most of these tips don’t work for a single solo remote living person. but i have loved this video. excited for your new arrival, but bummed your not going to disney this year as was going to watch and looking forward to all the tips and tricks for next may. all the very best on the safe arrival of the new bub. 🙂 ps for Americans we cant do credit card swapping like you guys can, as it destroys our credit rate so makes it hard for loans etc. ps. still watching and said there is going to be a disney video woo hoo!!!!

      If you go to “discover” at the bottom of the everyday rewards app and then scroll along the top line you should come across the 3% deal. I’m not entirely sure it’s been offered to everyone but a few people I know and the both of us have it.

    Loving this content! Can see how passionate you both are about it. my fiancé and I get engaged in September 2025 and are planning our honeymoon to USA for the first time. We’re straye hi ally utilising credit card bonus Qantas points via our bank and also using red energy, every day rewards and fuel. We were looking at flying 84k points melbourne to LA then flying cash to NY.
    Do you know how many points it is from Hawaii to Florida?

    Well done!! We have similar points and miles programs in the U.S., but even though CC's offer great bonuses, they require a certain amount of spending within a set amount of months. Keep up the good work 👍

    Thank you for the video. We too reached points club with complimentary lounge passes but there are restrictions, can’t be used during school holidays and you need to be flying on a qf flight number. We flew Fiji air do couldn’t use them. I don’t think you will be able to use them by flying Jetstar either unfortunately

    You guys are lucky in Melbs, there are many gas and electricity companies to compete with each other. Over here in the West, we have Alinta gas and kleenheat, that's it. Our electricity is Synergy. The problem with not having many companies is that it doesn't provide competitive prices.

    • @cristyandcrew
      @cristyandcrew 5 месяцев назад

      We’re in north QLD, we have one gas provider and one electricity provider and the prices are insanely high, there’s no competition so they can set their prices as high as they like. It’s so frustrating 😕

    If you have an auto club membership such as RAC for WA you can buy vouchers for 5% off at Big w, 4% off at Woolworths and 3% off petrol.
    This also applies if you have a mobile phone with Everyday Mobile.
    My hubby and I have two Extra Memberships and both our mobiles so we get 14% off our groceries 4 times a month 😊

    When using those lounge passes you have to connect them to your booking with the app. I wonder if you will be able to to apply all 4 passes with one booking or you might need seperate bookings to connect all passes.
    I would really do the math on paying the tax with points vs cash because I would think paying tax would be a bad use of points value and better to keep for future flights.
    Congrats on your points work!

    • @OneOfADozen
      @OneOfADozen  5 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve had to attach each lounge pass to each individual Qantas account. We all have our own accounts. Definitely agree with not always using points for the taxes it’s not a great way of using points.

    What a very informative vlog. We just signed up for the extra rewards program - first month free and only $35 for the year.
    Is it possible to tell me how u inducate which actual shop u want to use the 10% off. Normally u just scan your card, so is there an extra step u take to implement the 10% discount.

    • @OneOfADozen
      @OneOfADozen  5 месяцев назад +1

      When you scan your card at checkout it will ask you if you want to use the 10% off in that shop. Online you just add the monthly code at the checkout. It’s so worth it! 😊
