I can't believe how much you have sewn!! You've made some wonderful garments. I love the red and white top the best (I wonder why you like red?! 🍓) but the black trim on the pumpkin top was genius.
Thank you so much for the shout out for my channel and your kind words about me, that was lovely of you ❤. (I got to 6K 👏🏼)
I keep forgetting to warn people about that neckline on 6216 but I do exactly what you did and pinch in the front neckline.
You have so many more plans which is wonderful to see. I love getting cheap and thrifted T shirts as they are good for colour blocking or making into smaller t shirts etc. 6216 is good for that as it doesn't have sleeves.
Thanks for updating us on your area and what a relief that the rain is staying away. Hope you get over your bug whatever it is and have a good weekend ❤🍓❤ xx
Thank you so much for watching, Carole! Congratulations on 6000+ subscribers! It will be 10,000 soon! ♥️
I am so glad to see you back! Love your makes! The top you are wearing reminds me of the Love Notions La Bella Donna - one of my favorite patterns to make and wear. My heart breaks for NC. I watch videos from people who are helping, it is awesome that people are coming together to help.
Oh thank you! It felt good to sew…. I love all the Ln patterns but, I don’t have the La Bella Donna. I need to watch for it to be a feature Friday. It’s going to take a long time for things to recover… and with winter coming … it will be hard. Thank you for your continued concern. Have a wonderful week! ♥️
Love all your makes, you sure have been busy!!!
Thank you so much!! I was surprised at how much I got done. It felt good for sure. I hope you have a great week! ♥️
I love your posts! You give me just what I want - really fun sewing news and really truthful hurricane recovery news. You are my one-stop resource. thanks so much. God bless you.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that more than I can say! I hope you have a great week. ♥️
Diann, welcome back! So glad you have been busy sewing. The yellow dress is beautiful. I'm in love with that pumpkin crinkle cut blouse but the red/white is my favorite I made N6216 top. It's wonderful. Yours came out great. Wonderful plans. I love what you cut out! I hope things get rebuilt there soon before the Winter. So sorry about the devastation and that people are still without power. God bless you Diann. 🥰❤
Thank you so much Grace! I love red and white top too. The pumpkin top looks good with black pants. That’s what I wore today. You such a dear… I know it will take time for things to get better… but, winter is nipping at our heels. God bless you Grace. I hope you have a great week! ♥️
Love your tops, Diann, and oh! That yellow dress is so pretty. ❤Kelly
@@Kakkydidit Thank you so much Kelly! I really love the dress. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend! ♥️
You have been very busy. I live the red top, color is fabulous. Glad to see you are back to sewing.
Thank you! 😊 i appreciate you watching. The red one is so pretty…. I like it a lot. I hope you have a great week. ♥️
Hi Diann, thank you for sharing all your makes. You have been a busy bee 🐝, and you have created beautiful garments 🙌🏻. Your two toned Tidal dress will be awesome 👏, I really liked the darker pink on the outside, but I will wait to see what you decided to cut/sew 😊. Happy sewing 🧵🪡. Karen 💖💖
Hi Karen. Thank you so much. I was surprised I had made that many things. I think my mind needed it. I went with the darker sides and lighter middle. My husband chose that version too. I’ll keep you posted on it. I hope you have a great week! ♥️
Diann, watching your videos is like sitting in your sewing room and chatting with a friend! The yellow dress is lovely. I have made several New Look 6216. I still need to make the Rhapsody blouse. Glad you’re doing well! 🥰❤️
Oh thank you Nancy! You’re such a kind person! I feel the very same way watching your videos. You will love the Rhapsody… it’s a very good pattern. Have a wonderful week! ♥️
You go, girl! Looks like you have some excellent plans. Thanks for the update on your nearby areas.
Thank you! It felt good to sew a while. I appreciate your concern. It will take time for most. I hope you have a great week! ♥️
🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤☘☘☘👍😊
Thank you!! ♥️
Hello sweet Diann! I’m so glad you and your family are safe and you are sewing up a storm. Your red and white floral like top is my fav of your latest makes. You are so cute with your sayings too. If by a miracle etc etc. Take care snd God bless. I was so happy to know you and your family were safe after all of the hurricanes and what is left of peoples homes plus months of clean up, etc,,,, people forget thst and some people stiff trying to reclaim their lives!!! our Flag daughter was ok this last go around too. Minimal damage for them,,, PTL. Happy sewing, and stay well!!! Nancy from Ft Wayne,IN
Thank you so much Nancy. I hope you’re doing well? I have enjoyed sewing some for sure. I love the red and white too.
I have a million sayings… both my parents had all kinds. 🤗 My husband never knows any of them… then I hear him repeating them sometimes 🤗 I’m glad your daughter is ok. It is so hard… people start getting back to normal… while others never will. It’s so hard. I hope you have great week! Thanks again. ♥️
Diane you are on a roll girl! Your yellow dress is gorgeous and I say wear it whenever you want to! Life os too short for waiting for the perfect time! So glad things have gotten back to normal at your house and you can bust out some sewing. Ive been down with a nasty case of shingles and havent sewn in a month, but I will visit the sewing room again soon. Your subscriber count is growing fast!!❤
Thank you, Trish! I agree… wear it all whenever! Oh Trish, shingles are awful. I had them four times the last year my parents were with me. I am so sorry you’re dealing with those awful things. I will be praying they will be gone soon. I sure appreciate your watching. Take care of yourself. Hope to see your videos cranking out soon. Have a good week! ♥️.
Trish, make sure they give you gabapentin or something to help the pain. The whole left side of my face was broken out and 13 years later the left upper left lip and nose hurts and itches and pulls. Better my face than anywhere else, tho!
Ow, Trish. I hope my vaccines keep me from suffering shingles outbreaks! When my grandmothers were in their 60s as I am now, they both had times when they couldn't bear to be hugged. - Kelly
I’d vote for the dark pink on the sides of the dress with light pink in center. For some reason that just popped for me versus the other way. Can’t wait to see what you decide for that dress. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much… that’s what went with. My husband chose that option too. I’ll Show you how it turned out. Have a great week! ♥️
Love your vlogs…..😊🇦🇺
You’re so kind! Thank you for watching! ♥️
That red cowl top - you should wear that color every day because you look amazing in it! "Long as cold weather." 😂 I'd never heard that but it is so true. 2 things: you have got to stop tempting me with fabric from Fabric Mart! Between you and Trish I'll be done in. And the second, I'm so grateful for the hurricane updates. What a mess. Thank you Jesus for those that have stepped in and continued to help even a month out. I think that's when you need it the most, when the initial rush is gone and the real work begins. Still praying. xoxox
Thank you so much, Jen! I love the color but, I never know what looks good. I am glad to hear that’s a good color for me.
I have a million sayings! Between my Mama and Daddy they both had them. 🤗 I will try not to tempt you with fabricmart… but no promises. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. Have a great week! ♥️
WOW! You have been busy. I'm looking forward to seeing your newly cut out makes. There are so many negative things on the news that it's easy to forget the loving kindness of mankind. Disasters shine a light on that goodness. God is good. All will be well. ❤
I find the news so depressing, and it is updates like this that give me hope .
@@theseamstressatthecottage 🥰
Thank you so much! The news is hard to watch. God’s good and so are so many people. God bless! ♥️
I agree Katinka the news is depressing. Thank you for watching! ♥️
❤❤
Thank you so much! Have a great week! ♥️
I love the yellow dress. So pretty.
Thank you so much! The yellow fabric is so pretty. I appreciate your watching. Have a great week! ♥️
As you showed all the wonderful tops you've made, I thought back to the video a while back when you said you needed tops. You've gone all in! I just love the variety and your tweeks to the patterns to make them unique to you. You've got some beautiful plans and fabrics. I love the pumpkin pants too! Thanks for the update on the recovery efforts.
Thank you so much!! I did think of the time I said, “I need tops!” And I am finally making them. 🤗 I’m slow but sure. Thank you so much for watching! Have a great week! ♥️
Super cute yellow linen dress! I think you can wear it all year - with a cardigan or scarf. Very cute. Love the pumpkin color top too - the black twill tape adds a nice touch to it! You got a lot done!! Great job lining the pink top. I love that New Look pattern . I've made the pants 5 times and love that tshirt too. that is a GREAT pattern
Thank you so much. I do love the yellow dress. Winter needs a little color… I will brighten the gray days up. 🤗 I really love newlook patterns …they seem to fit me pretty good. I will have to try the pants soon. Have a great week! ♥️
Oh, Diann, I love everything you made. Yes, I try to get cotton in the stores. Croft & Barrow offers beautiful affordable cotton knit tops. And I have cotton waiting to be sewn up. Love, Mimi P.S. You know, in a way experiences like you describe in NC are happening all over. I was fortunate in San Francisco's 1989 quake, but without power. I sat up, listening with ear phones to a battery radio as one station relayed messages connecting families who commute across the Bay. The transit was upset, and school kids were sheltered one place, while the working parents were bussed a long way around -- and not all spoke English! Even when a person is fortunate, that one is pretty upset seeing the others and trying to help them. In the Caldor Fire, we evacuated a whole town, South Lake Tahoe where I lived back then, and everyone had to get out! The wildlife rehabbers I volunteered with had to farm out the bear cubs and raccoons and chipmunks and -- you get the idea -- to rehab folks in OR and NV. Some dear old family cabins burned down. Highway 50 past Placerville was fire fighters and lots of prayers and nail biting! People have lost a lot and made a career of sulking and pursuing their cases instead of living with gratitude. It's tuff and just know a lot of us far away are watching and sending love.
Hi Mimi. Thank you so much! I love cotton everything. 🤗 Wow… you’ve been through a lot of disasters…. I agree, it’s hard seeing others struggling…. I am sure glad you made it through all the things you have. I appreciate you watching and always sharing experiences. Your a treasure ♥️
You have been busy i love all your makes they really look great thanks for the update have a wonderful week 😊😊😊
Thank you so much for watching! Have a great week! ♥️
I love the Itch to stitch dress that you made. The color is beautifull on you. It can always look good with a polneck and stockings. I love the first one so much! The red is so lovely on you. The cowl tops are my favorite
Oh thank you! I love the dress … I want to make another 🤗 Thank you for always being so encouraging! Have great week. ♥️
I love what you did to the neckline on the Rhapsody blouse❤
Thank you so much! I’m happy with it. I appreciate you watching. Have a great week! ♥️
Hi Diann, you have really been busy sewing and accomplished a lot!!! Now you have some really nice things to wear. The dress is pretty on you! We’re still praying for everyone in your area. I talked to my brother yesterday, he lives in Fletcher. He said for some people life is getting back to normal. Just as you said for others it’s not. He said they haven’t had a drop of rain where he is since the storm and they need just a bit to calm the dust and dirt that is covering everything. Things we don’t even think about since we aren’t there. Anyway glad you’re able to sew and I hope your cough goes away soon. Have a wonderful weekend ❤️
Thank you so much! It sounds like most places in NC are the same… some fair better than others. I have been to Fletcher a couple times. I hope your brother is doing well. Inside good to sew. My mind needed it. I appreciate you so much. Have a great week ♥️
Hi Diann, you were a busy lady this week! Your yellow dress is very beautiful. I might try the Rhapsody blouse and do what you did and omit the ties.
Hi Zelda. It felt good to sew some for sure. I think you’ll like the Rhapsody… it’s very well done. Thank you for watching! I hope you have a great week my friend. ♥️
I love that yellow dress. I have that New Look pattern for years and I have made many tops as well as turned the top into a tee shirt dress but I have put on some weight and need to make some new ones once I find some fabric I want. I also made the pants and really love the pockets on that pattern but I don't wear pants that often since moving to the south.
Thank you so much. I am happy with the dress. I really love the New Look pattern too. I need to try the pants. Finding the right fabric is really key. Thanks so much for watching. Have a great week! ♥️
Your very welcome ❤😊
♥️
Love all your makes. ❤ your drawing looks like my drawings😂
Thank you so much!! 😊 I’m sure your drawings are much better… I always wanted to draw … i can’t even trace well🤗 I hope you have a great week! ♥️
I’m so glad you have had time to sew. I love all your makes. The alterations you made to the dress is perfect. I love all the tops too, especially the simple T-shirt you are wearing. I may have to look for that pattern. It looks like it is loose (to skim over curves) without being too loose. How much did you downsize?
I love all of your new fabrics and plans. ❤😊🧵✂️
Thank you so much Cynthia! I took about 3 inches from the neckline. I love the subtle shaping … it’s not too tight or loose. I appreciate you taking time to watch! Have a great week! ♥️
Diann, It is so good to see you, and you have been busy sewing. The red and white blouse is my favorite; it's such a pretty color on you. Diann, have you ever ordered the mystery bundles from Fabric Mart? I just did it last week, and they had a dollar shipping fee.
Thank you so much! No, I haven’t tried the bundle yet. I started too when the shipping was low but, I don’t want to waste money on fabric I might not like. I would like to try it though. Have a great week ♥️
"Long as cold weather" (18:03) she says straight faced 😂
I also love New Look 6216. I have the same issue, very large neck opening. When you say you pinched out an inch, could you show us what you're talking about . Thanks
Yes, I will do my best to show you what I did. I don’t know if it’s the “proper” way but, it seemed to work. I will show you Friday. Have a great week! ♥️
